Hello All! I'm new to the tribe check out my work at people.tribe.net/be1cda61-...bd7bbce01d
Just wanted to post a link to young man we are all going to be hearing a lot about in the coming years. At 17 he is shooting images that will be timeless. I'm sure some of you already know of his work. This guy is soooo good.
www.joeyl.com/
His work conveys so much emotion...amazing.
He also uses quite a bit of photoshop in his imagery...what's your feelings on this?
My personal opinion is that all that matters is the final image. If someone has a mastery of photoshop and use it to enhance their work in the fashion he has or create surreal imagery I'm all for it. I know some purists totally disagree, but I see it as the evolution as photography.
There will always that will make their work look "photoshopped" and badly at that, and use it as a crutch ( some to make a bad photo look worse :) , but what about those who take it far beyond that and merge photography and digital art into the work like Joey does?
I've been using photoshop professionally since 1992, so of course, my pics are tweaked in photoshop. It can often take a shot that's "not quite right" and turn it into something nice. Like I stated earlier...some purists think it should all be done in the camera....
Thoughts?
