So I had an Epiphany, a source for inspiration perhaps.... I was thinking we could submit some of our favorite quotes and the try and match som images to them, new, old whatever, I love good quotes and so i would love to hear some more good ones.

Im glad you know you're wierd in my opinion the only people who are really weird are the ones who think they're not. I know that if i had stumbled across this particular truth (or steped in it) I would sure try and pick mysellf up (and wipe myself off) and carry on.

Re: Quotes to photos
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 5:52 PMI thought about this picture I took several weeks ago of my 86-year-old mother who has lived through 8-1/2 decades of trials and tribulations and has kept her bodhisattva faith and trust intact:
images.tribe.net/tribe/upl...c86e3dd62a
And I offer this quote:
Those who don't feel this life pulling them like a river, those who don't drink dawn like a cup of springwater or take in the sunset like supper, those who don't want to change, let them sleep.

Re: Quotes to photos
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 7:44 PMGreat topic! Tough one, too. Had trouble finding something.
AllanO, that picture of your mother is amazing. What a great story.
And Shari, how dare you desecrate that piece of shit by putting a Bush flag in it! Funny pic.
Here's the most apt one I could dig out of my photo album. Not sure why...

Re: Quotes to photos
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 7:54 PMOh I didn't do that. Sometime last year, in Germany, some prankster was going around putting Bush flags in piles of poo. The stumbling upon truth part of that quote immediately made me think of it.

I loove this pic, I have taken this inspiration and started using it as my own style of portraiture, But this one is the best of all of them, It was also the first, I believe it was a moment of zen (maybe just an epiphany)

Re: Quotes to photos
Thu, July 13, 2006 - 5:16 PMI realize that this one is kind of unclear, this is supposed to go with "Those who don't feel this life pulling them like a river, those who don't drink dawn like a cup of springwater or take in the sunset like supper, those who don't want to change, let them sleep." by AllanO. I call it "awakening"

Re: Quotes to photos
Fri, July 14, 2006 - 5:57 PMHey Shell,
I took that shot while watching a demo at a Blacksmith Conference.
It was being presented by a fellow named Russell Brousard.
He's heating a folded leaf forging to make adjustments in it's shape. A master at repousse work, it was a pure pleasure to watch him work! -
