Ok, I know we've been pretty quiet around here. But it's a new year and I wanted to touch bases. Happy new year! And how did we all do on those goals for last year? And do we have new ones for this?
Last year kicked my butt. So I'll be the first to admit that although I practice on a regular basis I didn't get to the things I listed last year (regular reformer work, PMA testing, Fletcher towelwork). I still find all of these valuable, so I'm putting them down as my goals for this year. And I'm very much planning on succeeding this time! =))

Re: 2009: the year for it all!!!
Thu, January 8, 2009 - 12:04 PMLast year was a dooozie for me, too. Although, it has awakened me, and I am at a point now, that I am completely striping down everything and starting over. I have found that I have to leave emotion at the door, and almost think of training as more "mechanical" in thinking... "have to". My body has to be strong, therefore, I must work hard to get it. No cheating... earn it. Being so strict sounds a little harsh, but since adopting this new attitude, my spirit has never felt better. I try to work slowly, and consistently, and be patient for the results. They will come. The slower I perform Pilates movements, and really key in on the breathing, the more my body reaps the benefits. My goals are to work on better alignment, progress further in my reformer routine, and to add more cross training into the overall regimen. ... And to buy toe socks... they look really useful and won't slip on da machine! :) Happy new year!
