Greetings earthlings. We find ourselves upon another Monday in the closing days of June as we now enter the heat of summer. Summer finds us with exploration, resilient energy and joy in our hearts though many may not feel as such after the events of the past week. Astrologically and collectively we experienced huge shifts and rifts along with the passing of many major public figures which sent shock-waves through us all. These few individuals had made a huge impact on the world and left people with memories of their talent that will stay with them through this life and beyond. Michael Jackson, Farha Fosset, and Ed McMahon have been in the public eye for quite sometime now and have contributed to the development and space in which we inhabit today. Without them we’d have no Thriller, Charlie’s Angeles, Tonight Show and much more. People are at a loss this week at the tragedy of the passing of these icons.

People are born, die and resurrect daily and its important for us to transform these feelings of hurt into inspiration to live our lives. These few individuals were trendsetters, movers and shakers of the world and have become house hold names. We ask now who’s next? Who can fill the shoes of these superstars and go beyond them to the next levels of existence and global transformation. Is it you?

WhErE do the angels hide when my heart is closed? What can I do to make them expose. I feel their Love...... I hope they will someday know mine. I am blessed they taught me how to shine.

I am FLOORED.

I am not in disbelief at all. This is a true story about loss & believing.

5 years ago, I attended my first Burningman. Two days before bman- I still was waffling if I would go or not. I didn't have a ticket, or even a place to camp. At the time, I was involed with Kenneth- (which I was involved with for almost 8 years) who by the way, just got married last weekend- (congrats) anyway... he couldn't decide if he wanted to go or not. SO- I decided... I'm just going to balls out and go by myself. (Holy shit! I think about this now, and REALLY DON'T know how I did it) I didn't really know anyone who went, except the fabulous John Averil, who btw, was the reason I was intrigued to go in the first place, and for circumstances beyond my control- I wasn't really able to camp with woo.... So- 2 days to go.... I set my mind on it.... I was going to burningman solo.

I got on eplaya- lookin for rides and such and happened to stumble upon a link to the Black Rock Boutique... damn a vintage boutique in the desert- how fuckin' cool was that?! Holy shit- i discovered they were based outta pdx. I shot them a quick little email- and within no time- "tangerine" responded. "we've got room if you'd like a ride down, and an extra tix if you'd like to buy it". i jumped on it. "bring as much as you like- we've got a big truck. badabo- badabing.

I showed up 2 days later at their house over on alberta st... I had NO idea what to expect. They were loadin up the truck with all this Stuff- a lot of stuff. "we're at centercamp" cool I thought- what the fuck does that mean?

I hopped in my ride and I was off for the adventure. I was the only virgin in the vanagon i was travelling in. On the trip down, there was playa story after playa story, and the closer we got, more hootin and hollerin' and excitement filled the van. I didn't know what to think. These peeps were really excited... By the time we were almost there, I realized how WONDERFUL all these peeps were and asked if I could camp with them. (how naive was I?) They were truly welcoming- SURE!

***I cannot tell you how this ONE decision has SO enriched my life. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! Little did I know- what a beautiful gift they had given me...I've got tears in my eyes--- shh don't tell....***

So- I really freakin rockstarred it... Hello. I mean Centercamp my first year with a group of stellar people that I consider MY FAMILY NOW> wow. slap my ass and call me a bitch.

On the inside, I was torn and saddend that my partner, kenneth had stayed behind. Our relationship was a bit unstable... He'd given me the most beautiful necklace that he made, which I wore the entire burn to feel close to him.

What can I say... Burningman... I finally found my PEOPLE, my field of bees. I loved and soaked up every ounce of it....I remember the last day, waiting at centercamp for my ride, BAWLING, because i didn't want to leave, leave what felt so right and comfortable. Leave what I always knew was out there in my heart, but not had experienced until that time. Now I knew my life was forever changed. I could no longer go back.

We started our way back to "civilization", winding through the hills. Not to far into our journey, we came upon a vehicle which had a flat on it's trailer. We happily stopped and offered our assistance. They were some Bman org peeps or DPW folk who were very thankful... So thankful- they told us of the secret swimming hole up the road. We were stoked and stopped for a nice swim. I took my clothes off and piled them on the shore, and took my beloved necklace off and put it in my bag. What an amazing swim we had... It was time to go- the people we helped had arrived for a swim and as we left, guy handed me my bag... but upsidedown... Now, it had pockets with buttons but what I didn't realize until i got to Cedarville, was my necklace must have fallen out. FUCK!!! I Wanted to go back, but it was NOT an option.

The necklace that was given with so much love. It took COUNTLESS hours for Kenneth to make it- and it was gone... I truly cried all the way home. It was the most beautiful thing that anyone had ever given me and now it was gone... I dreaded getting home, having to tell Kenneth. Kenneth was PISSED to say the least. I was SO upset... Really, He's STILL NEVER forgiven me. for real...

I posted like a mother fucker... Lost- I did tons of research posted on local classifieds. Every year, on my way to the burn, i'd post signs protected in plastic in hopes that someone would find the piece... it was so unique- and had his signature on it. I vowed I would again posess the necklace. Every year, i'd repost in hopes that it would come back to me.

Tonight, I went to Gallery 500 for yahroe's fashion show... We busted out the Zebra Army and had a fine time...So many lovelies were there... including Joseph- who camped with me my first year... There was a gentelman there that I saw a few times and felt drawn to meet. We approached each other and started to chat. His name was Justin, the owner of the gallery. I introduced myself as astrogirl and he went silent. his eyes grew big and asked..."ASTROGIRL??? YOU'RE ASTROGIRL???"

Yep! that's me- (I kinda get that a lot) why, what have YOU heard? and then he said it... the most magical thing...what I've been waiting for for 5 freakin' years..."I've got YOUR necklace."

I looked at him straight in the eye and smiled. I wasn't surprised I KNEW what he was talking about. I asked, "my metal necklace?" I knew.

Yes. WTF??? "How'd YOU get it???"

He was stunned. I was stunned. Apparently, someone anonymously sent it to him at the gallery about 2 yrs ago and he's been holding onto ever since. He's NEVER even been to Burningman. He doesn't even KNOW me OR Kenneth. Justin said he asked around our community a little bit, to see if anyone knew me, but the connection wasn't ever made until tonight. And what timing. I've just had a huge closure with Kenneth as he just remarried this PAST weekend.

I feel elated. I believed in my heart that I would have this again- as it meant SO much to me. I NEVER gave up hope on it. Every year- I waited for this necklace to find it's way back to me, and now it has. I don't have it in my hot little hands YET, but I will shortly.

What does this mean? What does it mean... I DON'T know exactly... All i DO know, is that I've been asking for a sign. You know how you believe something in your heart, anything you truly believe in your heart that will happen... and when it doesn't, you start to question yourself... Maybe it'll never come true, or maybe i've been a FOOL for believing something ALL my life- because it hasn't happened YET. Well quite honestly friends, i've had the MOST challenging YEAR of my life. My father's passed, my family is super damaged and estranged and to be quite frank, i'm just trying to keep my shit straight and afloat. I have been struggling- and I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel...I feel a bit LOST...yet, I am thankful to have all these beautiful peeps in my life. I feel no rest. What does it all mean... when will the struggle be over? FUCK if I know. My BELIEF has REALLY been wearing thin... I've really been questioning myself lately...

SO what this means to me, is- it's a sign. A sign to BELIEVE in what's in your HEART, NO MATTER WHAT happens or what PEOPLE SAY. It's all I have. I mean, your home alone at night all your friends are gone, all you have, are your beliefs. In some way, small, or BIG way... I haven't decided-

This really means something to me and baby, do I ever need it.

Thanks for reading... I really wanted to share this as I'm really in awe in a way, and really just feel, maybe in my heart, I AM doing the right thing, by following my heart. Something- that I've done against everything I've been taught in my life. I've overcome many things. I have NO support from my family....Self doubt is one of the hardest to surpass.

SO... I'm just gonna put this little feather in my cap, and keep on goin'. I can't wait to put that necklace on, and show it to Kenneth... full circle yo.

i had two. well they were as hope hand fear... 8feet plus one in elegant white one in secretive black... my self was falling apart first time at the burn.yet i was dealing with the new world .living one step by one step.. i had set up my art next to my friend Esatva he told me it would be right... well just behind me were two of the most beautiful goddesses iv happend to see...after a while we decided to go into the playa from the cafe we were at.. well to make a realy odd long story short .. my heart was heald by a woman named leal she was, id have to say the first woman ive fallen in love with that had nothing to do with sex ..at all.... it was odd and it hurt i new she wasnt for me... but i couldnt tell my heart that ... she litteraly sang my hearts captor into distruction.. it hurt but it was free..... and ever sense ive been borderline crackin up..knowing someone changed my life forever.. and that i wish i could share time and space with them ... yet to them you were just another random hippie boy.cute blue eyes dread locks.. but let me tell you . i havent the words to discribe the very feeling i get with just glimmer of a thought of her.... but alas thats the irony of the burn....boom boom bang zing fast fast fast right into a wall and all thats left is that small peice that seems to be that which is indistructable... and you know... even though i was awakend to the beautiful pain of the heart... and every thought that should bring happieness brings a sort of discomfort or pain and every bit of pain and discomfort brings me happieness... its all out of order and just how it should be. its odd that im blessed and tourtured by the same acts so i guess she helped me learn to walk the line between... because you know all the shit that hurt i would do again everyday for the rest of my life...... just to feel the sense of freedom you feel from having the walls around your heart stripped ripped and blown away... that tug... till i think i might die.... dramatic huh... imagin . it was my personal most monumental step in growth and all its done is free me from my cage and thrown me into the jungle... with out the face that brought that freedom...without her face i seem lost.... yet she did not leave me without tools.. thank you for the inspiration and for doing that which you did not know... ps if any of you know her ..just listen to her sing....thanks ive needed to talk to someone for a while...ive been stuck on a mountain for a month .. thank you burn bright..pps you know when you get back from the burn how everyone thinks your so flippin sexy.... isnt it flattering .. but damn it makes it confusing when you can have all but the one you want...maybe its that damn hope and fear again is it two or maybe just a very tricky one.....

Greetings Burner Family,

I am DEPSPERATELY searching for a group of AMAZING, KIND, GIVING Burners that adopted me when my boyfriend and I were arguing and he abandoned me, ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT. I was terrified and they just came and scooped me up and took me under their care and wing. Their theme camp was located near 3:30 and Fate and their names, to list a few were, Keri, Damian, Nolan, Gabriel (Gabe), Kirin (hope I spelled it right), Misty, Jesse, Randy or Randall and many others. They adopted me Thursday afternoon and I had the time of my life partying with them that night and into the morning. It was my first burn and they really made it so amazing and special. The most terrifying situation turned out to be the best night of my first burn, so I cannot forget them. I was supposed to return and spend the day with them, but I had no idea how far my camp was in relation to theirs, it was all the way across the playa, so by the time I returned to my camp I passed out. I returned later before the burn and searched for them for 3 hours, no luck, they must have disassembled camp, not to mention it was dark, but I asked everyone around and searched everywhere. I feel terrible, I did not get the chance to say thank you or goodbye, not to mention I have Kirin's sweater which she so kindly let me borrrow. I have no contact information, but they are from Northern California. I have been searching for them everywhere I can think to post, no luck yet. They are some of the most beautiful individuals I have ever been blessed enough to be in the company of. I have to find them. If you have any information I would be more than appreciative and love you more than I love you already. I AM SO DESPERATE, THESE PEOPLE MEAN THE WORLD TO ME, PLEASE, I'M BEGGING, HELP ME FIND MY ANGELS....

"I was raised as a pullupyerownbootstraps type of person and I don't often ask the universe - much less other humans - for help meeting specific needs. But the upcoming month is weighing heavily and so I'm throwing this onto the Winds:

I am taking the Washington Bar Exam on July 25th, 26th, and 27th. Despite the fact that we are now permitted to use laptops for the exam, I am choosing to handwrite it. My main reasons are that I am better able to organize my thoughts when I handwrite, and the process of writing is actually quicker because I don't make (and obsessively have to correct) spelling/typing errors with a pen. The problem lies in the fact that I have the beginnings of arthritis in my hands, which makes writing (and typing to a certain extent) harder than I'd like. On the 25th and 26th, the days are broken into three 2 hour and 15 minute sessions of writing. So here's my need: Someone to brave one of the bridges and come to bellevue to massage my hands, arms and shoulder(s) on the night of the 25th. I can manage to go without on the 26th, cause the next day is a single 2 hour and 15 minute session. But that first night I am going to be in such pain...

So that's it. I have very little money (being the starving, just graduated from law school, still living on student loans, single mama) so cheaper is better. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm putting it out there."

i first off want to thank Kalla B a Badass..who picked me up..cast a powerful spell..and wrote an amazing listing..that caused my phone to start ringing the second that i stepped off the bus to goto the c&c internet cafe..my old office..kalla is on my trama/drama speedial..i am so fortunate to have her as a friend

the whole event spiriled me back to my lonely early days in lala..the night before(the night that my machine was taken) i walked for a few lonely miles..then taking the bus to the cafe..i was in an old place that i hadn't been in a while

i stepped off the bus and i recieved a call from snow..a friend of kalla's
i want to give a major shout out and thank you to snow..my new friend who offered me the use of his laptop..he actually offered to drop it off every morning and pick it up in the evening..wow..what a bro..seriously selfless..i am taken aback

i smiled and i knew that kalla had written somethin real nice..i checked my messages..had a few tears of joy..started to write my blog..and then i got a call from Tommy B an ArchAngel..who is loaning me his laptop for a few weeks while i recover..and can replace mine or maybe mine will return..thank you soooo much my brutha

Happy Blue Bear News!

Thanks for this forum I really have loved reading the stories and replies.

Some happy Blue Bear news. When I returned home my new partner who was very supportive of my solo trip to Burning Man presented me with a small chenille blue bear he had found on a thrift store record scouting trip, since then we find them everywhere, garage sales, dollar stores, thrift stores.... We rescue them and have started finding new homes for them.. So far everyone at my office has one and they sure brighten up the place. It is great to see professional type folks stroking their bears and making them talk to each other. Apparently they are great stress relievers.

We plan on bringing those still in need of new homes to Burning Man next year. If anyone has any good ideas about other places or groups where Blue Bears may be of use please let me know.

Blond Little Boy at Temple Sunday Blue Teddy Bear

This year was my first at BM and I brought Blue Bear with me he was a great friend and often accompanied me this last year in particular.

He had belonged to my Grandmother who died several years ago. I was able to spend almost 2 months with her while other family members traveled. My younger sister gave Blue Bear to her before she left her home of 50 years to move in with my aunt & uncle. At the time we laughed a bit thinking a teddy bear was an odd gift for a 96 year old very formal lady. She really loved him and held him on the airplane ride to AZ. When I came to stay with her 6 months later I found her in a sad state my relatives were not carring for her properly and I had to take her to the hospital where she was admitted. She was very scared, confused and anxious, I stayed with her as much as possible and asked her what she wanted from home. The only thing she asked for was Blue Bear. In the days that followed she would often stroke him and use him to convey her emotions, "We don't like it here do we Blueberry? The time I had with her was very precious and I was so glad she could take comfort in something so simple as a bear. It became clear that a bear could be far from simple.

My wedding to a partner of 6 years was held only a few months after my visit with Grandma Ann, she was not able to attend but did get to see lots of photos. After all the hoopla was over and we settled down to open our wedding gifts I was in for a big surprise. a few friends knew I had been with Grandma out of state but I had not really gone into much detail about the visit and certainly had not mentioned the Blue Bear with purple tipped fur. As I opened a lovely gift of Colbalt blue pentegram etched wine glasses from a truly angelic friend Christa, something else caught my eye under the tissue paper as I slowly removed it I found myself looking directly into the eyes of Blue Bear ! The exact kind of bear as Grandma's. I later asked Christa why she had picked the Bear as a gift and she said she just had the strangest feeling when she was shopping and walked past a toy store and saw him in the window. "Something was telling me I had to get him for you". I hugged her and told her the story of my Grandmother's bear.

During the years that followed he stayed in the bedroom with us. My Grandmother passed on a little over 2 years after my last visit, we were able to speak to one another and our last words were ones of love. When my Father asked if there was anything I would like to have as Grandma had had many lovely antiques, jewelry, ect. I asked only for the bear.

When my husband and I divorced I left one bear with him and took the other. It was a very hard time and I often found myself sleeping with and talking to Blue Bear like I had seen my Grandmother do and this made me feel very close to her as if she was with me. This years trip to Burning Man took place on what would have been my 11th wedding anniversary, in fact my ex sister in law missed our actual wedding to go to her first Burning Man. I now know why! So much transformation, joy and wonder occured for me there and Blue Bear was with me, he even rang the bell himself at the main gate, pole danced at the Flamingo. A new friend and another true angel Christian Cadillac from the Flamingo Lounge worked the burn line for Burn night and took Blue bear with him to watch.
I went to the temple several times during the week & again Sunday after much soul searching and the comment of a friend, "You are leaving Blue Bear at the temple aren't you? I realized that he was right I had been holding my Grandmother here and now that I was over much of the darkness that had shrouded the past year and dancing once more in strength and beauty I needed to let her go and also in so doing cut the last unseen ties binding me to my ex . The hard part was letting it actually out of my hands I had no idea just how I was going to bear ( excuse me) parting with the bear.

My angel came in the form of a golden headed little boy, he and his parents were standing near the outer left altar (approaching from the city). As he saw me walking holding the bear he smiled and as I came closer raised his arms as I held out Blue Bear his parents were very attentive and seemed a little unsure of what to think of a strange woman handing him a bear, I gave it to him and explained that it was for the temple, I was kind of hoping secretly that he would want to keep it and I said it was fine if he did. But the little one knew better and without anyone saying a thing he hugged Blue Bear walked right up and set him in the middle of the altar, and waved goodbye.

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to that family, it was great to see a little one. I had been missing the sight and sound of children and had only seen a few over the days and not one that small he was walking but not more than 4. I could feel the wonderful connection and love you all have for each other and I was so blessed that you allowed me to be included in that circle if only for a brief moment.

thank you so so so so much!..
for an amazing feast and tea fest last night..it was a tantalizing olfactory and taste bud tsunami..the tea was pure magik and kept the feat rolling till well past the witching hour..the durian fruit was unworldly..smelled like ass..tasted like..well..the smell is so absolutely pervasive that the fact that it tasted so good was magik in itself..almost fantasy like..i think i'm still trippin from the stuff
my yang chi was on such overload..i went back to my apt..not realizing that it was well past 1 am..i hit on two hotties in my elevator and invited them back to my room for some wine..let's just say i laid the framework..no nightcap tho
anyway the feast was amazing..someone else who was there can name off some of the other delicasies..

A few years ago I got cushed by those fabulous cushies (tey look like they got plastered by nurf guns). I loved it so mcuh- they kidnapped me into the funnest art car- it was 8 wagons hooked onto eachother each room with a different theme- and cushies in all of them! That was the funnest night. I felt a little left out though- cause I didn't have the whole cushie costume, like the rest of the crew....

I kept running into the cushies everywhere I went- at BM, decomes, LOVE PARADE< so many places- and loved the shit out of them!

This year at LA Decom, Tom- Blue Cush brought me my very own cushie costume (he made it for me!!) so I got to cush people too! we ran all round decom cushing people. It made my day!!

SUBLIME

I rang (no banged - with all my might - and dinged) that playa bell for the first time this year. Yet I experienced the magic of the playa to its fully extent.

I have been blessed by the playa spirits with my angel, who I will simply call SUBLIME.

He and I shared a tent for four nights/mornings, yet I remain a playa virgin to this day. SUBLIME has re-established my then dying faith and hope in the goodness of humanity in general, but especially the male species itself.

Although we have drifted since, I will be forever thankful for the priviledge of acquiring him into my life for that short, beautiful, majestic...SUBLIME... period.

After my cryptic/emo/drama post of last night, I know that I owe my friends and occasional blog readers some kind of explanation. The problem is, I don't know that I have one. Believe me, I've tried to find one. I've looked. I even enlisted the aid of the Jagermeister in my search for an answer. But to no avail. Let me try to explain what I do know.

Yesterday evening I was breaking down some boxes using a box knife. Simple stuff - cutting big pieces into little pieces - I've done the job many times before. But I had an accident.

I had a couple inches of blade exposed (one of those plastic segmented blade things) so I could cut through a couple pieces at once and save myself some time. As I made the cut, the blade slipped and jammed into my stomach. Fuck. My thumb, which had been holding the cutter where the plastic ends and the blade begins, was pressing against me. I had just stabbed myself - FUCK! The pain was very real and I could feel the tip of the blade inside me. I couldn't even breathe, I was frozen for the longest moment. My mind raced, I even wondered whether I had just cut into my large or small intestine and what the fuck difference would that make I was still seriously fucking injured.

I had to do something. I took a slow, shallow breath, and then exhaled even more slowly as I pulled the blade out the way it came back in. I can't tell you how sickening that felt, or how much I dreaded the idea of looking down. But I did, and what I saw freaked me out. The blade was clean. My shirt was cut, and I was in a lot of pain, but the blade was clean. I checked myself - not a fucking scratch. WTF? This wasn't some glancing blow, this was a stab directly in the middle of my stomach.

Let the freaking of out begin. I wanted to throw up, but instead I quietly finished up the task at hand (being extra fucking careful with the blade, let me tell you). I walked the recycle bin thing to the curb. I came inside and sat down and just froze. An IM popped on screen and it shook me out of the daze enough to try and form words. I was dismissive of my friend (you know who you are - I'm sorry for being cryptic and strange, well more cryptic and even more strange than usual lol), and then I wrote my cryptic and shell-shocked update.

I tried wrapping my head around what happened, to no avail. So I decided to consult the jagermeister, and consult him I did. Again and again, but the jagermeister had no answers either.

Was this all imagined? I wish it was. Maybe the events and the pain in my stomach were the work of an over-active imagination? But my shirt was cut. Maybe I cut the shirt but the cutter didn't come in close enough? I felt my thumb against my stomach, it doesn't get any closer. Maybe I should consult the jagermeister some more? That's a good idea. Why does my stomach hurt like this? I don't know, let's consult the jagermeister.

I'm still freaked, but I think I'm a bit more functional today than I was last night. I should thank the jagermeister for that, even though he provided little in the way of answers. Alcohol numbed my frayed nerves, as well as led me to finish destroying what had only hours before been a favorite shirt.

I didn't get much sleep last night - aside from having trouble sleeping to begin with, every time I tossed or turned the pain in my stomach woke me up. Seriously, I have no clue. By all accounts, I should be dead or I should be seriously injured, listening to some physician tell me about what they either had to or will need to do to my insides in order to effect a repair while some really hot nurse changes the dressing on my bandage.

I'll let you know if I do manage to wrap my head around what happened.

While I never did find his camp to have our ritual, his energy made the evening; it was certainly one for the books! she is an angel..she helped save me thursday night on the playa
we meditated with the giant statues of the mother and daughter for a spell
we later found the friend that i had lost and we partied till dawn aboard the Space Wench..and celebrated el predator's wedding at the temple!
