02/29i was totally getting off on the alternate realities concept. totally whacky that once he established his "constant" he was cured of the sickness. i wonder if that is the same sickness that rousseau claimed the other scientists in her team had perished from. i'm thinking yes.
and daniel faraday is such a spastic freakshow that he is rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters even though that other hag face that came along with him (charlotte) is one i'd like to knife in the gob. -

02/29faraday indicated the people who get sick are the ones who have been exposed to large amounts of radiation or electromagnatism. so it's not everyone. desmond had been juiced big time in the hatch blast. the communications guy could have gotten it from being around the radio equiment? faraday was exposed big time in his lab.
what was up with that black rock journal auction? -

02/29yeah but we don't know if the scientists in rousseau's group were exposed to such things as well.... my guess is yes. she said they all went crazy and died, didn't she?
yeah the black rock auction was WEIRD. perhaps that is the widmore connection to the island?

Maybe the the scientists were hit with a big EMP too? It's odd that not everyone gets messed up, and what does staying on the same heading have to do with it? The side effects only happened when they went off course a bit? -

02/29maybe there's a big electro-magnetic field around the island? isn't that what pushing the button in the hatch was all about? when the button was pushed it unarmed the field so there could be drops of rations and stuff, right?
perhaps those bearings slice through a safe route that isn't in the field. -

02/29something about the island warps time, i wonder if it seems like they have been on the island for a shorter or longer time than the off island time? like it's been 90 days or so since the crash on island time but off island time it's only a few days? -

I just got that ABC.com Full Episode Player on the ABC site (mentioned elsewhere) to watch LOST, but now I need a NEW COMPUTER!

03/06Yes - that was very interesting.
On the time travel subject- why did they leave at dusk and arrive on the ship in the daytime?
Also, when Sayid saw the calendar on the wall he did seem suprised that it was 12/24/04, which someone stated earlier in the thread if maybe it feels like only a few days on the island and in actuality a longer period of time off the island.
Did anyone else notice the calendar on the wall had a big X on all of the days that had gone by except for some days in October? -

03/07Desmond was surprised it was Christmas eve, not Sayid. He was surprised because it was the 1996 Desmond and it just wasn't that time of year.
Also, the days in October were crossed out, they were just some of different dates that were done in a different pen (like you would see in any ongoing calendar situation).

03/17i'm thinking he dies to somehow save the rest of them. but then something hurley said made me wonder... when he asked sun if anyone else was there, she said "no" and he said "good". it's obvious there is animosity between the Oceanic Six, but I can't tell if that was Hurley being a jokester or if he was actually glad the rest weren't coming. the idea that they were visiting his grave like that makes me think he goes out sacrificially. -

03/17jack said he was someone's enemy (or "not friends") at the funeral that was shown in the first 2 episodes back in the "future". so i am sure something is going to happen to make them all hate each other. unless we are to assume that sawyer was the last of the 6. but i am still confused on kate taking claire's baby. -

Kate, Jack, Aaron, Sayid, Hurley, and Sun. This has been confirmed by the producers as well as the network promos. -
