That's 25 people! Big camp...
So it's looking like camp dues are probably going to be $40. That will include communal food, booze for the bar, and some gas subsidies for our dinosaur juice guzzling bus (we gotta get the gear there right?).
The food will be all vegan, since half of our camp members are vegan. It just makes it easier for coordination and food storage. We'll have brunch and dinner Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and brunch on Monday. We should be getting a lot of fruit, snacks, and sandwich stuff for non-meal times. We should have a volunteer sheet posted within a week or two.
Bar wise, we're running a specials bar Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. So we'll have different types of drinks or themes throughout each night. Including the bike wheel of death, of course. You know you wanna bartend!
So far our set up team is cruising up in the bus, and in John Reinhold's car. We'll head up Thursday, aiming to get there by 12 or 1 and be set up by nightfall. That team is Katie, Jeremy, Pablo, Me, Bryan, John, Alyssa, and Danny. Shout out if you can be there to set up. Thanks!

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 5:26 AMTom and I are more than happy to help set up! Now, before we come down, you're absolutely sure you have no use for:
2 x JBL SoundFactor 25
1 x Crown CE2000 (2000W)
and a mess of turntables?
Also, I can't speak for Tom, but I personally don't drink, and I'm a giant carnivore (please don't hurt me). I have no problem whatsoever paying camp dues regardless, but would anyone freak out if we brought along meat-type sustenance and either used our facilities or yours to cook it? -

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 5:05 PMWell... I dunno I'm not sure if we can go so loud as to need more tops. Cause those are a little too big size wise to fit on our stage for monitors. Do you have subs as well? I mean, I love to blast it but I'm not sure if we're gonna be able to be that loud. I don't really know. I was planning on heading to the work weekend (a week earlier) to help out. Maybe we can ask about it there and see if it's worth bringing them.
I know we're going to have two sets of sl-1200s, but if you wanna bring one or two for backup it wouldn't hurt. And you would probably wanna bring your own needles unless you're fine with using ours.
And I don't have any problem with people cooking meat. I can't speak for everbody though. I think that the one point of concern might be using the same pans, cause some people are picky about that. So I guess if you bring your own pans for the meat, it shouldn't be a problem. And if you're still down for paying camp dues that would be way cool, just cause we've put a lot of money into this and can't really afford to front much for fuel, bar, etc. Gimme a shout if you have any more questions though.
Gettin close! One month away...

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 3:10 PMi'm afraid i will not be attending this year's wickerman. i was working on scraping the funds togeher for the trip, but an overly ambitious tow truck driver has made my decision for me. if things change i will let you know, but as of now, i am withdrawing my name from the tentative list, and any other applicable lists. i do apologise. -

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 10:10 AMi really hate borrowing money, and i wasn't really that well off to begin with. it would just be irresponsible of me to go. i have too much on my plate as it is. -

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 2:41 PMUnderstandable man, that's a shame. I'm pretty damn tight on money right now too. Theme camps are damn expensive to run!

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 9:19 AMI would love to go with the bus group but because of work and all I can't leave before Friday. So for those of you going later maybe we can try to arrange a carpooling group for the next day (friday afternoon/evening)? Who's going then?

Re: Update on Wicker Man head count and camp dues.
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 12:18 PMWe are going to have a large camp and alot of stuff. Honestly I think some of us are experiencing a bit of financial strain trying to pull this off. We are trying to plan another fund raiser but could use all the help we can get. With the current gas prices getting all our gear up there is going to be taxing. We may even need dues up front, we shall see.... -
