My Natal Chart has Pluto in Virgo at 29 degree's in my first house. It just occurred to me, having to cope with extremes of health from the earliest age.

I was diagnosed with Congenital Glaucoma when I was 4 months old, and had 2 Goniotomy surgeries on my eyes done. The 2nd one was done when I was 6 months old. Fortunately for me, I was in the right place at the right time, and they went well.. I could have ended up losing all my sight otherwise.

In my teenage years I had failed Puberty. I was just sluggish, but my bone age was severly delayed, and had to have hormone shots. I remember sticking a small butterfly needle in my stomach every night for a year when I was 16. My skin was red raw from it. Then my mother was given some cream to help numb the skin before taking it. Apparently I was the only patient of Great Ormand Street Childrens Hospital, to actually complete the year on the GRNH pump. I then changed hospitals and was advised I was too delayed for the pump, and needed Testosterone shots. I began to grow. I went from 4ft 11 aged 15, to 5 ft 6/12.

In between this, I had developed problems with my spine. I have a two inch deficit, that caused a severe curvature. I was ram rod straight as a kid, but aged 15, my spine began to bend. Eventually aged 17, tests revealed I had a weakness present from birth. My tail bone had not properly formed, and I had missed the screening for Spina Bifida. They called what I had Bifid spinus process. The weakness would eventually have shown up.

Aged 20, I slipped my 5th Lumbar vertebrae. AN MRI scan also revealed I suffered from Scheurmann's Ostechondritis, a developmental abnormaility. After all that and the convential Orthapeadic garbage on how to treat it. I went to see a Chiropractor. It got me walking propery again, despite having to cope with back discomfort.

It's interesting about being born a Capricorn, and over the age of 30. At aged 33, I decided to get into Cycling. I asked my Chiropractor if it was ok, and she said yes. In September 2004, I had an accident and went over the handle bars of my Mountain Bike, and broke my left collar bone. I had to walk back 2 miles to my apartment holding my bike with my right arm, and the broken left one. I found out later, I had also slightly cracked the side of my helmet.

My bones won't healing quickly, and the hospital wanted to put metal plates in me. I said no, let nature take it's course. A friend of mine who is a Dentist, but also into alternative medicines, asked me to take some Mineral supplements to help knit my bones faster. She asked me to promise her I would take them. A month later, I went back to the Hospital and my bones had knitted back. I am so glad I trusted my friend over the Hospital. Conventional Medicine for me, had meant I was coming up against a brick wall. Apart from my eye surgeries which needed to be done, everything else through conventional medicine, ended up doing more harm than good.

I got back on my bike 6 months later. i gave myself a good amount of time to rest up and recover from it. I was more cautious and careful afterwards. I had also given up smoking 3 months before getting into cycling. That's well over 3 1/2 years now.

I had also developed Aid reflux and a Hiatus Hernia. I only found out in December last year the Acid Reflux qas caused by an Anti Inflammatory I was taking for my back between 1991 and 2004.

Recently the Hospital put me on something called Amytriptiline for slight muscle spasm. I came off it after about 12 weeks, because all it was doing was doping me uip for half a day.

I still suffer with the stresses and strains of health complaints, but I am technically fitter than I used to be. I also do some Yoga style exercises.

As difficult and traumatic as these may appear, Pluto in Virgo in my 1st house, is teaching me to overcome. I have had to specifically deal with health issues and use sheer strength and determination of will to adapt.

The Cycling taught me a discipline I had never acquired before. I write Poetry, and in my work often express health issues and how we all need to deal with all aspects of well being. It's like acquring an agreement between Body, Soul and mind nowadays.

There are probably going to be many Health practioners out there with Virgo rising, or Pluto in Virgo. Our Generation will care for the well being of other's, and how we get back in touch with oursselves.

It impressses some people down at my local Grocery store. I turn up with my Recycling bags, and am wearing my Cycle helmet. I put my groceries in the saddle bags I have. Oneday, a man at the Cash register said to me, we'll all have to be Cycling oneday with the price of fuel. I can't drive because of my eyes, but I can't say it bothers me.

Health is very important for everyone nowadays. It's also just coming up on the 1st year anniversary of my mother's passing. I am becoming well aware of the negative side of coping with that. I keep writing and that is a tremendous liberation.

I've used my own circumstances as an example of tackling Pluto extremities. It's a battlefield at times, but one that can only be recognised and dealt with from inside. You can't fight it conventionally. You've got to go deep beneath the surface, and attempt to figure what goes where, how and why.

Take care.

Pluto is in Virgo in my 10th House. Can't relate much to being a caretaker, but I can to being a reluctant transformer. I was a sick child, but nothing like what you went through. I've been a pretty healthy adult. I feel badly you went through all that.

I would have thought Pluto in the 1st would have been about the need to rebuild yourself over and over again through circumstances you can't control. Maybe that's what your health issues did. It sounds like you found yourself through alternative medicines (which I fully endorse by the way).

I also have Pluto/Uranus conjunct in the 1st house conjunct the ascendant in Virgo.

My health challenges as a kid were a few but no where near what you've dealt with. I've had other external circumstances during childhood that have transformed me to the core. The only way to deal with it was to go inside until I was old enough to get out on my own.

I think our mission is going to be unfortunately the clean up crew in regards to everything not just health. We are charged with coming up with procedures to make the most efficient use of the resources we have.
