breeze follows me home today
loud but lovely
laced with jasmine flowers
She teases me on the uphill
but makes amends coming down
She shows me fields pristeenly shorn
Sand dunes keeping low profile
She whisks me towards the corral
While horses whinney into her delighted smile

breeze stays outside while i peek from within
She rustles pecan leaves
in a luscious crisp sound meant for solitary ears
She reminds me that life is a phantasmagoria
Yes, it is, she whispers
& she feeds my shaky backbone
in gollups of radiant belief
