It seems to me a case could be made here for unlawful restraint. It would probably be a pretty weak case, though.

Re: Driver Forces Passengers To Pray On MARTA Bus
Wed, November 11, 2009 - 6:31 AMIt would make an awsome civil case. I almost wish I was on one of those busses so I could sue them..and the retarded driver...to the poor house.
But then again, I am not a bus rider. I finished middle school. -

Wed, November 11, 2009 - 6:53 AMMass transit is good for the environment. Forced prayer is not good for the environment. -

Re: Driver Forces Passengers To Pray On MARTA Bus
Wed, November 11, 2009 - 8:05 AMYeah, whenever I see the giant buses and trolleys here in San Diego going by empty, I always think, "You know, it's good to see something positive being done for the environment." At my expense, of course.

Re: Driver Forces Passengers To Pray On MARTA Bus
Wed, November 11, 2009 - 4:39 PMI wonder what the bus driver would have done, if it were *me* he chose to do this to, when I started praying with him - aloud - to the supreme Mother Goddess, Danu, of the Tuatha de Danann, of Ireland, of Ireland's children - the benevolent Lady of the Waters, (and so on and so forth).
I wonder if he'd have dropped his jaw when I put my hand on his forehead and called forth Kali-Ma and asked her drive out the demon of christianity that was upon him...
Just wondering.... -

Re: Driver Forces Passengers To Pray On MARTA Bus
Thu, November 12, 2009 - 12:22 PMI once took an Atlanta bus for a few blocks. Got off as fast as I could after the driver narrowly missed running over a pedestrian in the crosswalk and nearly hit the driver getting out of a parked car.
Praying is definitely a good idea for MARTA bus passengers...
