Fortunately a majority of progressives are moderately leftist or moderately rightist and are not quite as stupid, arrogant and imbecilic as it might appear when people like Sharon Stone speak out. Sharon Stone doesn't speak for me anymore than someone like Pat Buchanan or Rush Limbaugh speaks for you, Cliff. Progressives on either side of the political spectrum are more alike than they are different which I suppose in a round about way supports your thesis - the nutbars on both ends of the spectrum are more alike than different, too.

I choose to believe that you are more moderate than the real nutty crazies on the far right neo-con side of the political spectrum. And therefore that we can have civil discussions more often than we have uncivil ones.
