heya,
Pollination looks like an incredible event. I'd love to meet some new people as well as meet up with some old friends.
It *is* a big journey, especially from Vancouver Island, so I'm still thinking about things. For me a primary question is whether or not there is internet access on site. I don't plan on using the net, not even for email access, but I'm contracted to monitor some servers so I pretty well need to be able to connect to the net in case of an emergency wherever I am -- and highspeed is much preferred to dial-up. Let me know -- if it's a yes, then I can seriously consider coming.

if need be, sub-contract to a reliable friend for the weekend

I have confirmation that you can use my friends email whenever you want, he is a 2 min drive, 10 min walk from the site, and its satellite high speed.
Please note that this is not public access internet, but in case of emergency/work related stuff (or some sweet talking, he may be open to that...) - no problemo...! :)
There is no public phone at the site, but cell phone reception somewhat nearby, and the caretaker has a phone in case of emergency/crisis/gotta call in sick kind of thing, and possibly for messages if need be.
