ooooh ... you know what? I think I might. I've been told that I need to exercise to raise my serotonin levels - so I thought belly dancing might be the thang to do it. I'll never perform - but I might do it for that reason.
Go on - recommend a beginners class for me then :)

How did you get into Photography?

oooh well .... I've always taken photos, obsessively. I played around with 'proper' photography in my teens however a lack of £ and a boyfriend who stole all my equipment meant that I didn't really take it up properly until about 5 years ago when we went to New York. I bought a new SLR specifically for the trip and my passion was renewed.
Digital has been a breakthrough for me - I love working with film - there IS joy in waiting for the print to come - however - it's also very expensive! Digital however is time-consuming - because you take more photos! :)

Besides "what goes in the lens?" what is your best advice about photography?

Best advice? Does that mean one piece?
For me it's all about immersing yourself in the moment - enjoy what you're photographing - move with it. Engage with your subject be it living or person-made.
