Ano 'ai me ke aloha ia 'oukou! 'O Lisa Noelani Robbins ko'u inoa. He Hawai'i ha'aheo au!
I am the director and instructor of 'Ohana Arts Studio, Kinderhula, and Polynesian Dance Studio. I specialize in lessons, demonstrations, and special events in Polynesian dancing, Hawaiian quilting, Hawaiian culture, and sewing. I plan to have workshops for sewing Polynesian costumes some time this fall.
I also founded Hui o Polynesia which is an informal cultural organization founded in 2008. All are welcome. The mission of Hui O Polynesia is to nurture an extended 'ohana which perpetuates authentic Polynesian culture and shares the aloha spirit with our community.
I joined a while back, but I lost my password and life got busy, but so glad to be back here. We will be at the Polynesian Festival next month. Hope to see everyone there. :]
Aloha,
Lisa

Re: Polynesian Dance in Virginia

You're located in the Newport News area? I teach/live in Charlottesville, and often feel very alienated from the Polynesian community out here in the mountains.
Your website looks great, and I'll definitely check it out further. Was wondering if your sewing classes ever do Hawaiian projects (Aloha shirts or dresses, etc.)? Please put me on your mailing list - I'd love to know about that sometime.
Warmly - Aniseh
