In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, the Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance is hosting a workshop in Ori Tahiti, the dance of Tahiti. This introductory workshop features Ori technique (including hip isolations, footwork, and gestures), live drumming, as well as instruction in ‘ote‘a (a dance routine performed to the accompaniment of Tahitian drums).
