So there's a guy here in Georgia who is gathering postcards from various celebrities, asking them to define freedom. The responses are posted on his "The Freedom Project" website:

Some of them are funny. Many of the trouble me. Too many the answers are either vague or lack depth.
I'm reminded of folks who, when asked why we fight in wars like the one we're in now, typically answer, "for our freedom." But not many can meaningfully talk about what freedom is.
