Today I had my inspection from licensing and it went really well. As some of you may already know I am about to open a Family Child Care facility. I had been stressing myself out worrying over getting my house ready but in the end it was surprisingly easy. The inspector was impressed with the play environment I have created and was more than satisfied with the health and safety standards I was keeping. Whew! He said my license should arrive by mail in a week or two and then I will be ready to go!

If you didn't know about it already, look into First 5 funding in your area. They often fund small grants for licensed child care providers to purchase things such as play equipment, educational supplies and the like. -
