Hey Mamas, I am trying to put together a Mommy and Me sensory play and art group for infants and toddlers at my home on Thursday mornings. I was thinking about doing it at 10:00am but another mother pointed out to me that many kids have their morning nap around then. So now I am trying to figure out when most moms put their infants and toddlers down to nap. I would love it if you could share your nap times with me. Maybe it will help me figure out when is a good time to do this thing.
My son has only taken one nap after lunch (around 12:30) since he was about 8 months old but I don't think that is the norm.

Mon, April 28, 2008 - 11:58 AMYeah, Max (16 months) usually has one nap from 12:30-2:00. If he does nap in the morning (which he does a few times a month), it's usually at around 10, though. -

Re: Morning nap times
Tue, April 29, 2008 - 12:30 PMHi! So Rocco, 9 months, takes a 9 AM nap, a noon or 1 PM nap, and then a nap around 5. The first two are power naps, and about 30 minutes. The 5 PM nap is longer, an hour or a bit longer.
There is a mom group I sometimes go to that is at 10 AM. I find that the babies sleep there in mom's arms if they are tired. It works well, and moms come each week regardless of nap time. This may not work as well with older kids, but I don't know.

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 7:19 PMwonderwoman... 12 am to 4 pm...? did you mean 12 pm to 4 pm?
on a good day, when he actually naps, which is more and more often, titus is down at 10 am-ish, for 30 min to an hour. if i lay next to him as a mom in my mom's group suggested, then he sleeps longer. then again around 1 or 2, 30 min or hour. then again around 4 or 5 for a bit longer usually, even two hours sometimes. he has a cold right now, so he's sleeping more. perhaps bc i'm nursing the bejeesus out of him to help him get better quicker.
