Good day, everyone.
Well, I attended the roundtable last night and I found the discussion AWESOME! Questions and subjects were raised that ranged from very "basic" to "very advanced". Very diverse points of view were expressed and explored, all with GREAT diginity and respect of each other. Not everybody fully agreed with everyone else, which is normal, but everybody respected each others opinions and beliefs. I think a lot of us learned something new.
There were other topics raised during the discussion that kind of got us off track, but they also were very informative! One of the subjects even prompted a request for a seperate discussion to be scheduled in the near futrure.......... BDSM and the Law Enforcement Community!
I wish to express my great thanks to the hosts of this event. As we all know, it's not always easy to prepare your house for this type of function, but they did a fantastic job. THANK YOU.
I also wish to express my thanks to the discussion moderator. He did a wonderful job of keeping the conversations going, letting EVERYONE have thier COMPLETE say, without others "overiding" them. I was afraid that the discussion would turn into only a few being able to express themselves, but this was definately NOT the case. Everyone was given the oportunity to express their questions and/or opinions/experience.
The moderator also did a wonderful job of keeping the group on track of the subject, while also allowing the off topics to be discussed. Thank you and great job!
Lastly, I wish to say... Thank You to everyone who attended. All of your experiences, opinions, ideas and questions were wonderful to explore.
Thank you, everyone for such a great event.

I agree completely. What really sets our community round-tables apart is the way we try to take a non-judgmental approach to discussions. It can be tough; BDSM can engender a lot of strong opinions, and the people in our group are certainly not shy about sharing them. Doing so gracefully, though...well, I'm impressed by the caliber of people in our group. :)
I'm really looking forward to September's topic. I hope it will be well-attended.
