This is a tribe dedicated to traditional Tantra and it's practical Sadhana applications such as Puja, Japa, Yantra construction, the proper pronunciation of Sanskrit, Tantric interpretations of standard texts and the actual Tantras themselves.

this tribe is for NON neo-Tantra, and is a forum for people to talk about practical matters. this is for Tantrikas to discuss their practical Sadhana issues, and to discuss "traditional" Tantra.

Advertising services/workshops/etc. is not acceptable unless it directly pertains to either the scholarly study of traditional Tantra or someone is trying to organize a visit to Tantric sites or something of the like (there are always exceptions to every rule but I am trying to spell out which are acceptable). use the listings and put whatever you want there but keep it OUT of the threads. if you want to post something in the threads about an event, INFORM me and I will let you know if it is acceptable.

if you are interested in neo-Tantra there is a big giant Tantra tribe that is mostly that.

that's not what this tribe is for. I'd rather have a small tribe that is sincere and dedicated to similar applications and goals than have a huge sprawling uncontrolled tribe. it does not stroke my ego any to have a lot of people in here. if we only had 20 (I know there are a lot more of yall, thanks for being here, I'm just throwing out a number) practitioners talking about traditional Sadhana, I'd be happier than having boatloads of people trying to hit on each other under the guise of Tantra.
