Prairie Caravan

Prairie Caravan is a group of tribal style belly dancers based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our group is made up of dancers who have studied ATS and tribal style for the past several years, and have now formed a troupe with the goal of continuing to grow and develop as dancers, as well as introduce the style to audiences at local events and functions.

The dancers in our group have diverse dance backgrounds. Some have studied traditional forms such as Egyptian and Cabaret, others have experience in ballet, jazz/contemporary, and even a little Latin and Spanish thrown in for good measure. This diverse experience allows the troupe to explore tribal, fusion and other mixed dance styling, helping us to create our own unique dialect within the language of tribal style belly dance.

Ask any of our members what keeps them coming back and they will tell you it is FUN!! Prairie Caravan takes tribal style seriously -- but not ourselves! Laughter is an essential part of each practice and performance. The main goal for each and every dancer is to have fun, share the experience with other dancers and to draw the audience along with us on our journey.

To contact us directly, please email us at prairiecaravan@hotmail.com or visit our website at www.prairiecaravan.com

Our motto is . . .

Forget what you THINK you know about bellydance . . .
