Details about the space:
The Prakasa Ma studio is a beautiful yoga / dance / art space that includes a lounge with a loft as well as an office and retail space in the bright, airy upper level of a warehouse located close to downtown San Jose and SJSU.
The Yoga / Dance Room:
about 375 - 400 sq ft. Up to 8-10 students per yoga class
(we see the small size of the studio as a benefit, ensuring that all classes are an intimate size allowing for more personal experiences)

raised and insulated bamboo floor - ideal for yoga and dance
arched entry way with 2 arched windows on either side of the entry
4 large recessed shelves built into the walls for props (mats, blankets, blocks, etc)
two ceiling fans for air circulation plus heating and air conditioning
high quality sound system with 3 speakers embeded in the ceiling, includes hookups for teachers using iPods
beautifully decorated in warm & inviting colors
full length mirrors spanning the eastern wall
4 huge windows on the southern wall - great light!
solid western wall (good space for head or hand stands)
well lit with multiple sets of track and recessed lights, all with dimmer controls
Hallway
the entrance / exit for the studio opens into this secure inner hallway

cubbyholes for storage of student's personal items during class

two beautiful wood and glass doors lead from the hallway into the offices and lounge
arched entry way leads to the dance/yoga/art studio space

The Prakasa Ma studio is at the end of an upper-level multi-unit space for artists and musicians. The 8 other tenants in the collective art studios include designers, photographers, musicians, actors, Crescent Magazine and Scoot Magazine. There is also a Jujitsu studio at the other end of the building.
Creative and cooperative / supportive environment.
