Okay, I've finished all the Katie MacAlister books, Lori Handeland nightcreature books, MaryJanice Davidson werewolf and vampire books, and I'm looking for something else to read while I wait on new books from these authors. I really enjoy the mix of paranormal, humor, mystery and romance (read: hot, steamy sex!) that these authors blend together so well... any recommendations along those lines?
If I don't find something soon, I'll be forced to go back to my boring sci-fi... okay, it's not that boring, just lacks the romance element. :)

Re: any recs?
Wed, August 30, 2006 - 10:48 PMhmm, obviously I would say Christine Feehan. But also J.R. Ward-Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and I've just started the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. -

Re: any recs?
Thu, August 31, 2006 - 6:02 PMOkay, I'll check them out. I was a bit overwhelmed by Laurell K. Hamilton's booklist... where to start??? I read a couple of her short stories and they were too complicated for me; at least, at that moment anyway! :) I did pick up Angela Kinght's series that starts with Master of the Night; it's okay, nothing spectacular, although I like how she's woven aliens and vampires into the Arthur legend. Hee, hee. ~Lorien

Re: any recs?
Tue, July 17, 2007 - 3:01 PMA great trilogy is the Black Jewels by Anne Bishop. There's a lot of dark humor, and it's a little light on the romance, heavy on the angst. Also has a lot of mystery/conspiracies building through the trilogy. Might be more the thing for fans of J.R. Ward and Vishous!
