I only just got it three days ago, having not read it yet while in hardcover due to the fact that I couldn't justify $20 plus for a book. There are so many questions now, not least of which is: What will happen to Nick now, and what exactly is he? To answer that I guess we'd have to know for sure what Ash is, since Stryker is his brother, and Nick is now 'a part of him'... hmmm.. I can't wait. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Dark Side of the Moon out in paperback!! (spoilers)
Thu, November 30, 2006 - 10:46 AMOkay, I shelled out the $20 and read the hardcover, because I just couldn't wait!!! I thought the main story was just so-so; it's this subplot of Ash and Nick that keeps me going... Argh! It's just so sad and frustrating.
If I remember correctly, Stryker was Apollo's son who he disowned and was adopted by Appollymi. So, he is at least part-god. I don't think Stryker and Ash are full-blood brothers... That would mean Ash has sex with his aunt Artimis... eeww! I think Apollymi placed her child (Ash) in Stryker's mother's womb with Stryker, so they were born as twins, but weren't, technically... that's where it gets really foggy for me. Apollymi's destruction of Atlantis came when "they took something from her", presumably her child. That's what I've been able to piece together. Anyone else have ideas?

Re: Dark Side of the Moon out in paperback!! (spoilers)
Mon, August 13, 2007 - 12:30 PMThe book was so busy with world-building that the actual plot suffered tremendously. I'm definitely ready for Kenyon to finish explaining the background info so that we can get on with finding out more on Nick and Ash.

Re: Dark Side of the Moon out in paperback!! (spoilers)
Mon, August 13, 2007 - 1:43 PMI think Stryker is just an Apollite turned Damien (because Apollymi told him how to stay alive longer by sucking the souls of humans). Styx is Ash's twin brother who is now in the Atlantian version of Heaven because that is where Ash put him after he served his punishment for trying to destroy the world (SK's website short story). I think Styx will be coming back because part of his punishment was to see the truth of Ash's life (Ash was the first born and therefore heir to the Atantian throne - not Styx) and Styx wants a relationship with his brother now. Hopefully SK will answer some questions about Ash, Styx, and Stryker in Ash's book which is due out sometime in 2008.
****Spoiler****
SK stated that Ash's heroine is mentioned in The Dream Hunter. (Athena, Artemis, and Megeara's two cousins {the Athena and Artemis clones}). I personally hope that it is Athena. That would really stick in Artemis' throat. Plus it would give another dimension as to why the two dislike one another (as revealed by Katra in the Dream Hunter).
I finished Devil May Cry already and I can't wait for more.
