I started 2 years ago, around October.
My process is simply to buy the next single flare size up, after about 2 weeks. It's not spiritual, at all.

i used to have 00 but left them for about three years... just started stretching them again im at like a 4 or 2 cant really tell but i plan on going to a triple guage. its definitely spiritual, i am native descent and my beliefs are "tribal" i live it breathe it, and gotta look it... :)

I've just gone up when I felt I was ready, theres nothing spiritual in it for me, just me being comfortable with me, well, that and the amazing jewelry I've seen.

currently am at 7/16. planning in staying there. i have been as large as 5/8 in the past though. i started stretching about 14 yrs ago. loved the look of it and barely anyone had done that around here at the time, not like today. ive never liked the look of standard earrings and love the artsy quality of some of the styles you can get for stretched ears.

Probably not for a while, I just bought two pairs of earrings at zero, so I'll stay here for a while until I get my monies worth out of them.
No, I thought I was going to stay smaller.
Over a year ago, my ears were already starting to get the 'old lady slit' from wearing too heavy earrings all the time. A friend suggested that I stretch so that the weight was more evenly distributed and not ripping straight down my lobe.
Now, I believe that longer lobes equal a longer life, like Buddha.

btw- I am actively looking for 0g earrings, but I prefer hanging styles over plugs.

No, I'm the biggest noob here. I just started streching 2 months ago for the first time!

I used to be a piercing apprentice two years ago, and was always intrigued with the idea of stretching, but never really got around to it until now. My job since then doesn't really allow for any facial piercings, which I love with all my heart, so I figured I could just express myself with my ears. Also, the jewelry I've found online is to die for!

Currently, I'm at 12g, and moving all the way up to 00g.
My next healthy stretch will be around Oct. 15th.

As for my process, I'm not sure at this point. Sometimes I laugh when my grandpa makes a joke about me trying to be a a wild monkey-woman who will some day go crazy and run away to the Amazon and live on coconuts and lizards. And yet, if that's where my stretching/bod-mod would take me, I don't have a problem with connecting to something primal.

I'm like Carrie with the dangling bits rather than plugs, but I'm not a vegan. Actually, bone is one of my favorite styles. Hahahahah, hope that doesn't make me sound cruel and unusual!

When I first started stretching, anything bigger than a regular earring was a special order or had to be custom made. I made my own stretchers out of various materials and then had titanium rings crafted to be 4g by a jeweler back in 1990. It's really nice to be able to just buy whatever size now.

I've got a trio in each ear that go 2g, 4g, 6g.

not any time soon-- I've built up a RATHER large and expensive 1/2" collection so i'll be sticking around here for a while
when i first started i only wanted to go to a 10g...then 8g, then 2g, then i was SURE i was stopping at 0g. then 7/16". now here I am at 1/2"...
i've been stretching just over 3 years now.
I don't really have a process other than waiting at least a month or month and a half between stretches. I don't use tapers or tape or anything, I just wait until my ears have loosened up enough for the next size. Oh, sometimes I do take a hot shower before stretching to help things along, and I always use some sort of lubricant (jojoba oil or emu oil).

I'm stretching up to 10g today! Wish me luck! :D

I'm at 00 & I think i have to stay here because every time i stretch my left hole tears & it's soooo hurty & takes forever to heal! my parents had my ears pierced when i was a baby. they did the right first & it turned out fine but of course i was freaking out afterward & the left one got pierced closer up to the cartilage because of my squirmyness. that's where my hold gets a tear/splits a little when i go up a size =( Eventually it does heal but I'm kinda on the fence on if it's worth going bigger anymore.
