After a brief scan of the threads, I don't see one on this topic.
There are two basic ways to invite someone to a tribe.
THE FIRST WAY IS BY STARTING FROM THE PERSON and selecting the tribe:
1) Navigate to their profile page (by clicking on their avatar/profile pic, usually).
2) Under their photo, select "more options."
3) When the options expand, select "invite to tribe."
4) A list of all of your tribes will be there in a drop-down menu waiting for you to choose the appropriate tribe. (If you belong to a lot, you can skip down by hitting the initial letter in the tribe's name.)
5) Now you should see a) the invitee's name & pic, b) the name of the tribe, c) a pre-worded message saying that you'd like to invite them to a tribe--you can send the message as is, delete it and send a blank message, or alter the pre-worded message to customize it to your style, d) an orange button saying "invite" or "submit" or whatever word means to execute the action.
ANOTHER WAY TO INVITE SOMEONE TO A TRIBE is by starting from the tribecard (the tribe's description page) and selecting the friend.
There's a quirk here: it makes it easy for you to invite Tribesters who are in your (first-degree) friends network OR friends who are not Tribe members at all. But it doesn't seem (I haven't figured it out, at least) to allow you to invite Tribe members who are not in your friends network.
So if you're inviting someone in, say, this tribe to another tribe, if they're one of your friends, you can do it either way, but if you're just doing it for a stranger to be nice or something, you're better off using the first way, 'cause the second will probably just frustrate you.
1) Navigate to the tribecard (description page).
2) Among the options in the upper left corner beneath the tribe photo/logo space, select "invite a friend to join."
3) You should see three drop-down menus. Open the first one and scroll down to the name of the friend you're inviting. (You can use the first initial to skip down here, too.) Select that name.
4) Repeat as necessary if you want to invite more Tribe friends.
5--optional) If you want to invite someone from the outside world to a tribe, you need to invite them to join Tribe.net, too. Enter their regular e-mail address in the box and proceed, following the directions.
Finally...
Select the orange button that says "invite" or "submit" or whatever to execute the command.
After that, it's up to them to decide to join or not.
If it's a private tribe (which is why I'm posting these instructions to this particular tribe), *they* won't be able to see the tribecard unless you offer them a view by inviting them in. They can't just peruse and leave--they have to join before they can browse, and then they can just quit if it's not their cup of tea.
