How to decide who's next?

So, to continue the series on not so major Religions of the world, I wondered to myself, where do I draw the line? There are a large number of cults out there. Detailing the beliefs a handful of wacky creeps living in a bunch of welded together trailers in the Nevada desert might be amusing, but is isn’t really very instructive as part of the Achieving Enlightenment program. So basic criteria number one: the world vision of the religion I am profiling must be at least convincing enough to have compelled tens of thousands of people to have chosen it as their faith. Secondly, it must be recognized by someone other than its members as some sort of religion. That’s enough. I’m not trying to be selective here, just trimming away the excess infinity.
