Strangelove starts its third year with a new night and location - now first Fridays at Julie's Supper Club (7th and Folsom)!

Join us Friday, April 6th, for Strangelove's MONSTER HOUSEWARMING! DJs Joe Radio (Death Guild), Nurse Glitch (Bondage-a-Go-Go, Compulsion), and Tomas Diablo (Strangelove, Rock this Town!) celebrate Strangelove's move with continuous sets of the best Dark Electro, Industrial, New Wave and Goth for your dancing pleasure.

We're pretty excited about the new location. The spacious dancefloor is in a separate room from the gorgeous bar and lounge, so you always have the option to dance or to enjoy drinks and conversation in the lounge. Julie's also has parking available in the Jiffy Lube lot next door (just ask our doorperson for a parking pass or you could get towed)!

            .::Alchemy::.
An amalgam of dance, music and creative expression

Greetings to all you trance crazy inter-dimensional beings out there. Outpost23 would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining us on our last journey. That sure was a blast!

We are once again getting ready to embark on our monthly journey through the psychedelic time-portal, and we have lined up some veteran pilots to make this journey as comfortable as possible.

            Pilots for the night:

-Michael Liu (Illumination Records, Secret Psychedelica)
            -Dutch (Thump Radio, Opulent Temple)
-Officer Bunch (Saturated Mind, Ooze System)
            -Triton vs. Sparkle (Outpost23)

Michael has been involved in the trance scene forever and is one of the most versatile and respected DJs playing in outer space. He is always in tune with the crowd and this time it's going to be no different.
Dutch was a resident DJ of Thump Radio, one of the more successful trance parties in SF and has been playing out for over 12 years. His seamless mixing and variety of music keeps the spaceship moving.
Matt has been putting the smiles on crowds with his track selection and has the skills to keep you grooving.
The party these three guys recently played at in Sacramento was a huge success.

Triton and Sparkle are residents of Alchemy and will get the antigravity generator started. From the playa to various clubs and parties, these two have kept floors grooving for a while.

              • This Friday, 4/20, Shadowplay celebrates it’s fifth anniversary! Five years ago, Shadowplay started at 26 Mix, mixing new danceable indie with classic post-punk and new wave. Three and a half years ago, Shadowplay morphed into Vanguard, the electro/discopunk/no wave club at Lit, while the Shadowplay name was continued by the Shadowplay Stage at SF Pride (now in it’s fifth year). Finally, in early 2005, Shadowplay opened at the Stud.

Throughout, we’ve prided ourselves on playing the best new music long before it is heard elsewhere, mixed with old favorites. This Friday, DJ Donimo (Shadowplay, Lucky Pierre, Substance) and guest DJ Candy (Decade) will spin the best of Shadowplay’s last 5 years, along with the latest indie/electro tracks.

Plus go go dancers Ben and Annie, and the Stud's cheap, stiff drinks to keep you dancing.

                Details: shadowplaysf.com

                10pm-3am. Free before 10:30 (11:30 for guestlist); $5 after
                At The Stud 399 9th St S.F.

Tell your friends that they too can get on the guest list by joining the Shadowplay email list at shadowplaysf.com/list.html or by joining the Shadowplay tribe, by 5pm Friday, to get in free until 11:30pm.

Shadowplay is now 3rd Fridays at The Stud 399 9th St S.F
                • Jason Emsley Live at the Werks 4.20 @ Minna

California's own, Jason Emsley's, has been a hot ticket on the minimal techno circuit over the past few months due to his heavy hitting releases on European techno labels Platzhirsch and Telegraph.

Friday marks his first SF appearance, fresh from headlining parties in Germany with techno legends such as Monolake.

Catch his two laptop set at Midnight on Friday at the Werks. 4.20 - 111 Minna.

                  Jason Emsley (Platzhirsch/Telegraph/LA)
                  www.discogs.com/artist/Jason+Emsley

                  Bio:

In less than year of deciding to go the production route, Jason picked up steam releasing his first tracks simultaneously on French label, 'Telegraph' and the highly touted German label 'Platzhirsch'...followed by remixes for German 'Nummer' and England's 'Clever Music' as well as on LA's label 'Droid Recordings'. Jason's 2nd solo EP on Platzhirsch (released in October) has received amazingly complimentary reviews and is being played by many of the heavy hitters.

2007 has already with a 3rd solo ep completed and forthcoming on Platzhirsch this Spring, following a month's mini-tour in Europe.

Additionally, expect to see Jason releasing his first full length artist album on the same label later in the year. Others to look out for in the first quarter are a solo ep on 'Clever Music' and remixes for Chicago's 'Siteholder'...

Finally, the end of 2007 will see the launch of Jason's own label project 'Align-Audio' featuring another side of his development as an electronic artist.
