After a recent traot reading session I did, I realise that I haven't connected with the spirit world as much as I could.
What I mean, is that I've mainly experienced empathy and partial telepathy - but all on a physical mental realm arena.
Tarot seems to be quite a good gateway to the spirit realm.
What other ways can we connect to the spirit world?

Re: The Spiritual otherworld & Connecting.
Thu, January 3, 2008 - 7:40 PMI like cruising antique stores & used bookstores ~ old wooden pieces of furniture, estate jewelry & old, used books are records of patterns of energy that still connect to the spirit world ~ letting your imagination run wild with who may have owned what & what their life may have been like opens the door for spirits to tell you all about themselves.....
taking long walks in the natural settings by yourself ~ through forests, off the trail whenever possible ~ by streams & lakes ~ connecting with nature & animal spirits....
of course roaming/exploring graveyards for people ghosts, but some people find that distasteful
scrying & asking questions of a pendulum can help put you in the right state of mind for further communication
<some people also have problems with ouija boards ~ but I don't>
all of that is basically watching for patterns & interpreting them
that's what pops to mind right now :)
love all-ways,

Re: The Spiritual otherworld & Connecting.
Tue, January 8, 2008 - 6:19 AMFor some the ouija can be a bit intense. Sometimes when a recently passed relative comes through it can be a tramatic experience also sometimes the spirits get a bit agitated and don't know how to communicate that is all the caution I've experienced w/that tool.
The graveyards have always sucked me into them everywhere. When you sit and read their lives they find a bit of peace in that. It is not just about their disemodied spirit but the life they once lived. They too can give the living comfort. Watch the crazy little squirells too.
There is a gravestone in St. Augustine where you can see a persons face faded into the gravestone that is atop them. They do not let the public into that particular graveyard so I cannot figure it completely. For me it is a matter of respecting the rest the dead are entitled too and also saluting such drive in the world of the after life.
