Let's see what we can do to get this tribe all together and see if we can get everyone working together in this. We all know just how hard it can be to get your music out there to the right people for bookings. Some DJ's I've found have a great sound but just don't know how to get their demos to the right people. If they could get their music to the right people, everyone else might get the pleasure of hearing and experiencing it as well. there is only one way to accomplish this, and that is for all of us to work together in helping anyone else.

The gig exchange for new artist as well as better known artist is a huge resource and opportunity for all of us.
Let's get this tribe working together like a well oiled machine that can produce great new and old sounds for the unknowing public's ears to enjoy. One person cannot do this alone. Any suggestions that you guys might have about things you would like to see within this tribe will be appreciated. Ideas on how to make this happen etc...

My psy-trance DJing has not taken off at all. I also play "prog. tech house" kinda stuff, and I had a few shindigs with that. Anyway, I can help somehow?

everyone in the us scene should be more internally connected. I can't really speak for them. All i can say is that it will come together in time. Weather certain people want it too or not. There are allot of haters out there that may not want anyone else to take there spot in the scene. Change is inevitable. Help someone to get to where you are and you're situation will change as well. It's a fact. I'm just waking up. Let me think on this one for a while.

I don't think bringing someone to where I am is that big a help, but I certainly have my fair share of "students" I've been spinning so long, I started with vinyl, and it's just been a struggle to keep up with the technology bascially. I have knowledge of obsolete systems. I'm all digital now, and it sure is fun to not have to carry records.

If your area isn't doing enough to promote Electronic music, maybe organize something that will wake them up.
That's what we're working on here in MS. The Local scene is very comfortable with the way things have been for a long time.
We are just about ready to send a shock to it's most deep inner core. Not pulling people from the local scene but from everywhere else.
In turn the locals will be forced to wake up and enjoy the wave of change. It can't be avoided, change is coming wether we are ready for it or not.
Post a mix here and let people here it. Without people hearing it, your kinda stuck.
If not your mixes, then post your students mixes. After getting there permission of course
Somebody has a mix to post don't they? -

My suggestion is to record it all the way through with Cue Base. Then it won't be tracked out and you can export it in 128, 320, just about any mp3 format, or 1411 wav as well. There are several programs that allow this. Once you've exported it, if you have winrar, right click the file and you will see: Add to (Name of File) .rar. I prefer WinRar over winzip. It's more user friendly. Click that button and your done.
If you want your mix to end up in someones car, I would highly recommend making all of your tracks one. -

Tue, February 10, 2009 - 10:50 AMWhassup fellow tribe junkies!! I just recorded a brand spankin new Hidro-Ponik dj mix that includes some of my favorite tracks of the moment. The style ranges from totally nuts to groovy-drippy-trippy dancefloor smashers somewhere in the neighborhood of 148 BPM's. It was recorded on August 02, 2008 at PsyCircle Studios in San Diego, California.
