This weeks show will be featuring their first set of releases since their debut release with the Twisted Flavours compilation.

The show will be featuring not one, but three releases off this label, giving people a chance to preview new EPs by Dark Summer, Crazy Ducks, and Faxi Nadu.

Ride the Snake, being the debut EP by the artist Slovenian artist Dark Summer, an artist who had previously featured on the Twisted Flavours compilation, demonstrates on this 3 track EP his own distinct dark psychedelic trance sound. The release features two original tracks by him, as well a remix of one of these tracks by Digitalis.

The second release we will be featuring, Sweedie, is a two track EP by Israeli artists Crazy Ducks. New to this label, and a temporary addition at that due to their desired direction, this release features this duos only dark edged and somewhat quirky psychedelic tracks, containing both a solid night track as well as a twisted transition track. Their future releases are expected to go in a new direction from what is showcased here. Crazy Ducks will be touring Australia and playing large events and festivals including Tribeadelic NYE in Melbourne, Victoria.

The last release we will be covering, Intelligence, is a release by another new artist Faxi Nadu. This 3 track EP combines a mixture of dark-edged full-on sounds with more traditional dark psy sounds, with a definite solid dancefloor sound to it. His sounds cross borders of genres, and his other releases cover styles which extend beyond definitions of any existing genres of electronic music. The artist has cited influences which vary across all forms of psytrance in the creation of this album.

Tonight on PsyKe Out (21st November) we presents another special edition of the show featuring yet another release of the night music label, Manic Dragon Records, which has been rather active of late with their busy release schedule. This weeks show will be featuring tracks off the debut album by the well known Russian night music artist C-P-C, with his album Double Bouble.

C-P-C is an artist who is best known for his associations with the belated artist (RIP) Zolod (of Parasense/ Terminator/ Freaking fame) who he had collaborated on tracks with and had played along side. He has also previously collaborated with other well known artists including Kindzadza, Para Halu and Jelly Headz, and is known for his association with Osom. On the day of Zolod's passing, in tribute/memory to his friend, he wrote the track Zolod's Requiem which initially made its' way out onto the Internet, but was taken off-line and mastered for this release.

This debut album by C-P-C features a mix of the uptempo styles innovated by the likes of Highko, crossed over with the traditional deep minimal twisted Russian night music sounds for which he is known. An album which averages over 152bpm, there is barely a slow moment on this album till the last track which despite its' fast bpm maintains a rather laid back tempo to it.

This album is now available for sale via your usual outlets, but more details about it can be found on the Manic Dragon website which can be found here: www.sonic-dragon.com/manic_dragon.htm

PsyKe Out returns for a second week in a row with another Special Edition show! Tonight's episode (31st October) of PsyKe Out will be featuring a record label we have frequently covered over time, with not one but two releases off the Manic Dragon Record label.

The show will be covering the compilation Multiple Personalities 2 (the follow-up to the release previously covered on this show), as well as yet another album by Baphomet Engine with this time his debut solo album on this record label.

The show will kick-off with a selection of tracks off the Baphomet Engine self-titled solo album. This talented Brazillian duo demonstrate their versatility once again by providing a release which contrasts from their Nabi Records album 'Psytrance is Dead!', a release which focused on their more experimental and heavier sounds, with this release, covering their more traditional sounds.

The album features a somewhat diverse range of sounds kicking off with a down tempo track which is followed up by a quite groovy edged track and then moves into the territory of their usual dose of solid psychedelic twisted-edge night music.

Following on from this release the show will then showcase the latest compilation from Manic Dragon Records with their release Multiple Personalities 2, featuring a tracks from the Australian stalwarts of night music Dark Nebula Vs Cyanescens, as well as tracks established Dark Psy artists including CPC Project Vs Para Halu, Kindzadza Vs Ocelot, Blisargon Demogorgon Vs Phobos Azazel, as well as newer but increasing more popular artists Hishiryo Vs D-Fragmental, Stranger Vs Zik, Technical Hitch Vs Zoolog, and Flipknot Vs Jun.

To add to all that there is another Baphomet Engine track to be had on this compilation, with a Baphomet Engine Vs Stereographic track included on this release. The release represents a variation in sound to the previous release Multiple Personalities, with some more twisted as well as some more uptempo tracks, but at the same time still very much keeping to that Dark Psychedelic sound.

Baphomet Engine - Tracklist:
1. Prelúdio
2. Calling To Death
3. LLAliénation Mentale
4. Hades
5. Looking For Dragons At Spitsbergen
6. The First Possession
7. Dancing On The Barrows
8. Miss Dymphne Tryplet Is Dead
9. Templar Warriors

Multiple Personalities 2 - Tracklist:
1. Technical Hitch Vs Zoolog / Return To The Saws
2. Cyanescens Vs Dark Nebula / The Delivery
3. Baphomet Engine Vs Stereographic / Stereophometh
4. CPC Project Vs Para Halu / Prince Of Darkness
5. Flipknot Vs Jun / Working Secrets
More details about SquareOne:

SquareOne was first conceived by a group of young media-makers in 2002 who
were inspired by the example of the Octapod space in Newcastle and all the
projects, including the This Is Not Art Festival.

Identifying the lack of support locally for such projects which provide
opportunities for new youth projects to be created and grown, they set about
making it happen. Applying for a government grant to the Foundation for Young
Australians, they received $150,000 in seed funding over three years, and by
January 2005 had already started putting the plan into action. The project is
intended to reach realisation and be open this space to the public by November
2006

THIAGO MIRANDA (Alkaloid Productions/Vertigo Records, Brazil):

Thiago Miranda, at the age of only 18, has developed a reputation from those

Peta is best known for her blend of multi-genre psychedelic trance. Playing
full on night time madness to booty shakin morning mayhem. Her diverse taste
will leave you wondering "What the fuNkt was that?". In 2006 she continues her
existing success playing at many of the biggest psychedelic trance parties
around.

A favourite amongst local fans of psychedelic night music, Brad aka
Sydney (including the previous A 'wlf production! / PsyKe Out party Psykedelic
Therapy 2) demonstrated his abilities and skills in this area where he without
a doubt managed to keep people glued to the dancefloor with his selection of
solid psychedelic night music.

He has a long history with music both inside and outside of the Psychedelic
Trance scene. Aside from playing some of the largest events in his hometown of
Melbourne alongside many different international, interstate, and local
artists and DJs, he also has a history of being involved with various bands,
his own long-running community radio show, and more. This experience has
provided him with a variety of influences and skills which he brings into
every set he plays.

Satanstoenail will be playing a back2back set with Cyberwlf (Nabi Records) at
this event.

GAPPEQ (Ketuh Records):

PsyKe Out, the weekly Psychedelic Trance Radio show, returns to your electronic air waves tonight (Tuesday 24th October) 8-10pm (+10 GMT), after an extended period of absence as side-projects were explored.

We are back with a very special edition of the show, showcasing as well as giving away copies of the debut split release from some of the most established heavyweights of the night music scene Baphomet Engine & Datakult, this being the very latest release from Nabi Records, the innovative night music label which rarely fears to push the envelope and challenging people with something different to the bulk of what is being released.

The album in question being given the contentious title of ‘Psytrance is Dead!’, a name which in itself was bound to stir up some controversy, challenging ideas and perception. Whether you agree with their sentiments or not that the name ‘Psytrance’ in this day and age is used and abused, this album is one any night music fan must grab.

The music on the album aims to challenge even fans of the Dark Psy genre, with its’ experimental edged dark psychedelic sounds. So it’s not the kind of album which may win instant appeal with some people, but with set and setting and time to absorb it, the sounds in it will likely grow on you.

The album serves as a good example of the flexibility and talents of these two artists, as they push their sounds to new extremes and in different directions, showing their true abilities to remain fresh and interesting.

You can pick yourself up a copy of this compilation on-line from various places including the likes of SaikoSounds, BeatSpace, Wirikuta, as well any good local retailer which stocks it.

As mentioned above, we will have copies of this album to give away on the show, so you will need to listen to the show to grab the question and answer needed to enter this competition! Entry details will be available via the PsyKe Out website www.PsyKeOut.net

Showcasing a previously renowned label which has once again re-appeared with several new releases in the works, Ambivalent Records. The show will feature both the latest compilation which has just been released by them called Further Ambivalent Tendancies, as well as a recording by the artist Scorb himself, featuring an exclusive set containing a variety of his most recent works.

Ambivalent Records:

Ambivalent Records built a reputation several years back for helping to develop a very dancey, but not too intense, and quite atmospheric night music sound which the label became famous for, and showcased on a variety of its' releases. Their releases included the compilations Contra Polar Activity, Significant Elf Proclivity, Creeping Ambivalent Tendencies. As well it also played host to releasing albums by Scorb, Deviant Species, and Zerotonin.

Ambivalent Records was also to later be the grounds for spawning another label of a similar yet different sound, Last Possible Solution Records. Their releases played host to side projects of artists like Scorb, with releases by RAM, NRS, and more. On Ambivalent Records latest release Further Ambivalent Tendancies, it sees a merging of the sounds of these two labels into a single compilation.

The compilation Further Ambivalent Tendancies contains the following tracks...

Track Listing:

Scorb:

Scorb (Ady Connor, aka DJ Yod) is an artist and DJ from the UK, for both Ambivalent and Last Possible Solution. Ady also performs Graphic Design duties for both labels including Cd covers, Party promotion and Merchandise. Ady has a number of side projects: RAM, a Full-On project with Paul Wright (NRS), Squid Inc., A dark progressive project With Santos De Castro (Deviant Species), and Orzel's Machine, a Techno project With Mike Rucinski (Numbworx).

D.A.R.K. is a label for the release of original, psychedelic trance music. Founded by two friends living across the globe, that met over the internet, the goals were to simply offer music that is individualist in nature as well as high in quality.

We started D.A.R.K., with the most important aim being to stay versatile; to release music that is both original and different within the catalog. We do not like style confines and we do not like categorization of art, so we took it upon ourselves to have the most diversified artists we were able to find.
What we also want to represent is personality and individuality in music. We feel that today, music that is original transpires with the artist's personality, uniqueness and style.

So this is what you have to expect when dealing with D.A.R.K. ; high quality conceptual music inspired by the complex, brain-warping textures, produced with great attention to detail both visually and sonically.

We will be taking a look at Loopus In Fabula's latest album called Fat Ladies Bingo!.

Loopus In Fabula's sound is one defined as being funkedelic, combining a mixture of psychedelic trance influences with electrojazz, disco, progressive, and retro infusions with a solid psychedelic bassline, to come up with a unique, funky, and fun day-time sound to have a dance to.

Loopus In Fabula's latest album is his third album, and has been released on his own label Fabula Records, one he established when releasing the debut release off the label with the compilation 'u l t r a p o p', back in 2004.

The album features samples off the likes of artists including Prince, Herbie Hancock, Duran Duran, and even David Bowie.

Paul Kearney is a multitalented drummer, keyboardist and electronic producer from Australia featured in the track “Fat Ladies Bingo”. His interests run from tech-house passing thru electro and psytrance. His debut album "Mainframe" is a brilliant eclectic composition.

Richard Hinkson, is another multi instrumentist from Melbourne, member of the infamous Mantrix project: a distinctive, yet diverse strain of Psychedelic Trance music, which explores multiple sub genres of underground dance music. Mantrix has released 5 albums up to date and has a big history of live performances. Richie is featured in the track "Doofy Duck".

Valo Lankinen is a young member of the new wave of groovy finnish psytrance. His project Visnudata will create a lot of pleasant shivers in the near future. Loopus did a remix of one Valo's track called "dreamschwartz" which also features on this album.

This Tuesday night (28th March) and re-broadcast this Friday morning (31st March) PsyKe Out will be showcasing music off the innovative French Dark Psychedelic night music label Nabi Records, with their very latest compilation Deep Mental Trauma. We will also be running a competition to win yourself a copy of this new compilation!

This release marks their 4th compilation, from a label which constantly has pushed new directions and offered fresh sounds in this form of dark psychedelic trance night music.

Nabi Records came onto the scene at a time when the otherwise innovative DarkPsy genre had started to stagnate and many of the labels started to become quite generic in style.

With the launch of their debut compilation, 148, they helped to innovate a new direction and new style by the introduction of fresh sounds and fresh ideas into the realm of the DarkPsy/Dark Psychedelic night music genre. The release was something which was purely a limited edition underground release, and at the time was only sold through their website.

By the time of their follow-up release, Run Motherfucker Run, they had already help to carve a new direction with their new sound which many other labels ended up following in as well. Their reputation had gained them much attention, and whilst Run Motherfucker Run was initially sold through their website, through their success the release, along with their debut compilation 148, managed to gain commercial distribution in on-line stores through the likes of SaikoSounds and Psyshop.

By the time of their third release, Psychiatic Hospital Ahead, they were not satisfied to rest on their existing success and pushed ahead in new directions once again, following the lead forged by the likes of Trishula Records, and later the underground label Golden Dawn Records, which had been helping to innovate yet another new style of the DarkPsy genre with a deep driving and intense psychedelic night music sound.

Wanting to challenge the listener and DJs alike, by the time of their fourth compilation they continued in the search for new and fresh psychedelic sounds. They continued in their quest to take the minds and bodies of those on the dance floor to new levels.

With the release of this newest compilation, Deep Mental Trauma, Nabi Records has again gone in a fresh direction, taking a sound which represents a fusion between the sounds of some of the older heavy and dark atmospheric psychedelic night music artists (innovated by the likes of Xenomorph), and mixed it up with modern, twisted and at times intense psychedelic sounds.

This release also marks the first large release for several newer names in the Dark Psychedelic world with debut release by the likes of Celsung and new material from Catatonic Despair, an artist who had only ever been featured on an underground japanese night music label once before.

It also includes new tracks by the very twisted and very dark Psycehdelic Trance artists Datakult Vs Acid Goblins, Noise Gust, and a special bonus track by Infect Insect, which at 160bpm has to be heard to be believed! It also features a track by the well known and established DarkPsy duo out of Brazil, Baphomet Engine.

Track Listing:
1. Skin & Salt - Catatonic Despair
2. Antas Acoc sod Sergalim - Baphomet Engine
3. Tri Assassin Don't Die - Celsung
4. Broken Butterfly - Celsung

This Tuesday night (28th February) or this Friday morning (3rd March) PsyKe Out presents a showcase of a debut album called Mad Different Methods, by well known night music PsyTrance artist Naked Tourist. It being the latest release off a Danish label we've covered on numerous occasions before, Parvati Records.

Naked Tourist represents one of the pioneering artists of what became a new direction in the DarkPsy/Twisted night music genre which Parvati Records helped to showcase in their releases. Naked Tourists tracks have been released on over nine different PsyTrance labels over time, so it was with much anticipation that this album finally came to realisation. Naked Tourist are a duo out of Berlin in Germany.

Their sound can be best described as a solid yet rolling psychedelic sound with a strong but not that heavy bassline to make for a very dancable but at the same time interesting and original music.

Taking their sounds to fresh directions this album embraces the recent trend by various DarkPsy PsyTrance artists of mixing it up with other styles of electronic music whilst keep a dominantly DarkPsy sound, combining breakbeat/drum-n-bass like sounds and structures melded into solid psychedelic dancefloor music, in addition to offering a psychedelically inspired bonus track at the end of the album. The album also features a Naked Tourist remix of a track by Double R.E.L.

This album is now out and available through all the usual avenues on-line and elsewhere. For more details about Parvati Records check out their website here www.parvati-records.com !

Track Listing:
1. Mad Different Methods
2. Prehysterical Moments
3. Chopper
4. Noname
5. Hirnfräse
6. Asylunatic
7. Backup Paranoia
8. Fairchild

We are back once again after a short break to again deliver to you your weekly PsyTrance fix. Hopefully you all had a great new year and ready to take on 2006!

Kicking off the initial show for this year (Tuesday January 17th) we have wasted no time in not only offering you a selection of a variety of the newest Psychedelic Trance music on offer, but also taken the time to showcase highlights off the newest Manic Dragon Records compilation called Light From The Depths Of Chaos, their newest night music compilation.

Light From The Depths Of Chaos is the follow-up to their previous compilation Multiple Personalities (as featured on PsyKe Out last year), and before that their compilation Inner Panic.

This newest compilation follows the trend set by their previous compilation Multiple Personalities, but shows a greater maturity and growth of the label through a much stronger release, and a release which offers greater diversity in it's range of dark psychedelic sounds. This compilation takes on everything from the sounds of N3ux5's dark banging sounds, to the percussive twisted sounds of Kemic-Al, and through to the intense and layered sounds of the likes of The Replicants.

The compilation features the likes of established artists including Blisargon Demogorgon, Kerosene Club, N3xus, Kemic-Al amongst many other newer and more underground artists.

This compilation was compiled once again by Fried Babas, and to quote the label this release features 'a collection of moody, atmospheric psy-trance for the twilight hours'.

You can check out the website for Manic Dragons and also the site for this release (which includes on-line samples to check out!) by jumping across to this address here: http://www.sonic-dragon.com/md/lftdoc_release_1.htm

So for a chance to check out highlights off this release as well as listen in to a variety of the latest psychedelic trance on offer, be sure to tune into PsyKe Out this Tuesday 17th January or catch the re-broadcasted show this Friday 20th January via Internet dance music radio station http://www.PulseRadio.net and don't forget to check out the shows website www.PsyKeOut.net
