Namaste,
Devi wrote about wanting to have a tatoo with the three eyes of the Goddess.
Today is the full moon. Many of us chant the Lalita Sahasranama - The Thousand Names of the Divine Mother.
One of her names is: "Sahasraksi" She who has a thousand eyes.
The translation by T.V. Narayana Menon says, "Anything that shines in the universe is one of Devi's eyes. Thus there are countless eyes. In the same way, it is in reference to their luminous nature that the sun, moon and fire are referred to as Devi's eyes and so She is called, "Trinayana" She who has three eyes.
Jai Maa!
Lily
