WHO:
You!
WHAT:
Casual exhibition of visual art, digital art, photography, poetry, prose, short story, video, audio, doodles, coffee stained post-it notes, your thoughts at the moment -- basically anything that can be posted in a tribe on tribe.net and is based on the theme of Seussador Dali. Anything that you are believed to have made yourself will be accepted and shown.
WHEN:
Think fast! Enter now! The opening will take place on Friday March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Captain Puppet’s parties usually last about a week starting on Wednesday, with the main event falling on Friday (which in Captain Puppet lingo has been long referred to as Firday due to a happy typo the community latched on to.)
You may continue to submit on and after Mar 2, but you would miss having your work in the grand opening!
Due to the short timeline, you are strongly encouraged to submit something made especially for this event at the last minute. The spontaneity will create a buzz of excitement around the concept of Seussador Dali that will make for an enjoyable festival of creativity.
WHERE:
This virtual gallery showing will take place in a location outside the party tribe, which will be disclosed shortly before the party. Keep an eye on the Seussador Dali tribe postings for directions to the Exhibit location.
HOW:
DO NOT POST SUBMISSIONS IN CAPTAIN PUPPETS SEUSSADOR DALI PARTY TRIBE! That way they can be kept a surprise until the opening event.
Please send all submissions ASAP to: seussador@yahoo.com
Submissions should be in the following formats:
Images: JPG images ready to be uploaded to tribe.net
Words: In text of an email, plain text document, or Microsoft Word document
Video / audio – please provide a link which can be posted on tribe.net

Thu, March 1, 2007 - 11:02 AMLaDavia, darling, in answer to your question...
Oh, I know! This is so lame, forgive me, but the sponsors you know, all they could do is provide us with an on-line gallery space, no space IRL. Meaning there are no sponsors. No money. Plus, how would we get all these people and puppets and pets from every neck of the world together in a room for one magical night?
I'm sure we are missing out terribly with our lack of ability to witness you. Please forgive our flat 2-D reality. I wish you the best in persuing venues there, wherever there is. I'd love to hear how it goes! Will you please come to our opening tomorrow night? I'm getting an announcement together this afternoon. I'd love to chat! -

Re: § EXHIBITION: SEUSSADOR DALI §
Thu, March 1, 2007 - 2:59 PMOh, well, all is for the best I was performing last night and all my chinchillas escaped! It was of course brilliant! I couldn't have planned an ending like that if I tried, I'm working on something with a monkey and a bathtub full of popcorn but that won't be ready until summer. I guess I'll just wander around the opening and read from my manuscripts or maybe do a little impromptu art in motion. See you tomorrow evening!
