PURE NOLA on hold for now...

So we had to put PURE on hold for a little while.

We are focusing on developing our Student Troupe, Preparing for Dramama 15 and traveling.

We hope to revive PURE later in the year of 2008.

I have the number for one of the guys in charge. Would anyone want to do something out there? Dance during lunch break, come early and run a little warm up for the volunteers, actually volunteer to work on a house together? There is a program with H4H that is about women building houses. The thing is, we'd have to find a day the most people could do it and it is early and it is getting really hot. Just throwing it out there.

'WE' HAVE A PERFORMANCE ON MAY 2 @ BLUE NILE AND WILL BE IN TOWN FROM THE 1-8. OUR GROUP CONSISTS OF 7 MEMBERS FROM SF (GOOFERMAN & MEMBERS OF VAU DE VIRE) PLUS ME, WHO IS FROM ATLANTA;>

Darshan (Cammie Vance ) is returning to teach us the second half of the PURE choreography on Feb 24th. There will be a refresher on Feb 10th.

Let me know if you want one and send me your check for $15.00 made out to Kaeshi Chai.
We cannot place the order until we have a minimum of 12 requests.

PURE Practices Scheduled!!!

Kate will be holding 4 mini-workshops to review moves and the first half of the choreography.

They will be held from 2-4 p,m, at the Mindfulness & Motion Studio.

Time is not yet firm - either 11AM or 3PM - still firming that up with Tracey.

Cost: $5 per person, proceeds will go to the PURE Lousiana fund and be a part of our operating budget which includes studio rental fees, Community donations, and Monthly Chapter Fees to the PURE Dance Org.

Awesome weekend

One more vote for the general awesomeness of the weekend! Woo hoo!

I feel like I have a whole new posse to hang around with, and I'm looking forward to the bonding time that will follow.

PURE news:
We managed to raise $45 for PURE NOLA's kitty fund, our little pool of moulah. Why called a kitty? Beats me. Etymologists?

We also managed to raise another $45 toward the mirror fund for Tapas. Within the next couple of weeks, Tapas should have mirrors in its space.

Another $100 was raised for Common Ground. I'll be contacting them this week or next to make plans to deliver the funds.

And great news for Cammi lovers -- she's scheduled to return on November 11th &12th for more PURE and more bellydance.
