<div>PURE Traverse City Procession Workshop <br/> <br/>Pure is a collective of dancers and drummers who take music and dance out into the streets for the purposes of healing and peace. Movements from the ancient sacred world traditions include Middle Eastern, Chinese, Romani Gypsy, Israeli Folk, Flamenco, Indian dance as well as drumming is incorporated into the PURE experience. Dance and ritual create community, drawing people together both emotionally and physically into a shared sense of the divine. As the community participates, no one is a stranger any longer. PURE is a project about compassion and acceptance of people regardless of their size, age or sex. <br/> PURE’s function is to educate the public as to what the ancient art of Bellydance truly is, as well as to help raise money and awareness to local charities, bringing out positive change to all that it touches. Join us for this workshop so that you too can be that change. The annual Procession is coming up and we’d love for you to be a part of it. <br/> As PURE is a performance troupe and its’ members are ambassadors for Middle Eastern dance, it is designed for intermediate to professional Bellydancers, but it is open to all that are interested, so beginners are absolutely welcome. Upcoming weekly rehearsals we will drill the moves and practice the choreography so that all can be ready in time for the annual PURE Procession which falls on July 19th. This workshop is designed and required for both current and brand new “PURistas”; to teach you the moves, combinations and full choreography which will be refined during the weekly rehearsals (those that are not comfortable with the choreography are welcome to still participate as volunteers).
