So burners...
I feel lots of us are waiting on Vatra to do more than this brother already is... But aren't we the one's we're waiting for?
So all of us are making up a camp, right? What can we throw down?
I will quote Q in the next post--thanks for the initiative on this sis.
So I'm heading to Gerlach the 1st to bust some w/ the DPW, and we are moving onto the playa on the 14th. I'm carrying a 20' diameter dome (12' interior height) and would love to erect this wherever the pyronauts will be placed. I have a cover for it, and ground cover (tarp, not carpet). My vision for this is open... chill space, kitchen, evacuation shelter... whatever.
What could make this space much more enjoyable/usable/comfortable is.... whatever you got---carpet, chairs/couches, lights... etc... etc...
I will try to make a burn barrel while on the ranch... something pyronautic. We shall see what the desert (and workdays) will provide.

what I don't have... a way to feed myself. I have always camped with larger groups, theme camps and villages with managed kitchens, shared meals and provided food (for a fee) I'll do dishes if I get fed - out here in the real world, I'll bring the movies too.
I do have a cover for shade, it's about 25ft square ish, give or take a foot, I just opened it up, I need to do some work on it. All the pretty fabric went on to fabric nirvana, it needs replacing with more grounded fabric. I'm certain that new fabric is on it's way to me now.
I have a 50' lighted arrow, it still lives in Seattle - working out the logistics of getting it down here. I think there is a picture in my photo album....looking.....people.tribe.net/qathi/pho...9f36d059c9
I have a beany-weeny trailer, fits me, um, in the trailer I have a strict no pants rule, it applies only to men. All visiting men must drop trou. we can hook some shade to the trailer.
I'm working out a trade with a dome builder who owes me money, so I may have a dome as well.

Wed, August 2, 2006 - 5:35 PMI am part of the early arrivals list, will be there 8-24-2006...I can be available to set up the borders, etc..I am driving 2800 miles from NYC in a minivan with a carport shade structure, tent, genny, and shower availabity.
I need a pallate(sp) platform for grey watter and cannot bring one from NYC can some get one from Reno?
I will be available to photograph spinners/poi performer artists, etc... -

Thu, August 3, 2006 - 12:40 PMWe are gonna bring a med size shade structure (still working on what is gonna be), and a tent big enough to use as a kitchen, hide coolers ect. I can maybe bring some extra carpet out for the dome floor. I an gonna bring like 150 sq feet for under tents and stuff.

Fri, August 25, 2006 - 11:25 AMWe have confirmed a 10 x 20 shade structure fully enclosed. Bigger van that can get parked wherever, would like to use as wind block. How much room will we have? Is space gonna be an issue we are on esplanade. thats about it for me and Andrew. Lots of goodies, I got a military strobelight from an airfield, (mega!) Pretty bumping stereo fro camp, we will have kitchen space and chairs to chill. We will be there on Monday afternoon! Spin with you all soon!
