When we are still, and at rest. Just sitting. Not hooking onto the stream of circus images floating through. Just letting them float like clouds passing. When we drop the methods and techniques and doctrines..., suddenly the splendor pokes it's presence through. No more mantras, yantras, yagyas or asanas. Just sitting completely still, and not modifying anything.
Someone asked me, how do I do that? Start by practicing letting go, until you let go of letting go and then stop. You'll be surprised how easy it is to arrive at stop!
Most of us divide our day between worrying about the "What if's," the "Awfuls," and the "Shoulda Musta's!" What if this happens or that happens..., that would be terrible or awful! I gotta do this! I must do that! When we're not doing that we're rationalizing how to accept those awful and terrible events! Or making up new rules for our shoulda musta pile of rules! When that doesn't work, we rationalize something to death!
Try letting go! Just sit! Be! The splendor will come!
Across whatever distance, I send my love,
:D
