Would it be pronounced "aah see"? Also if Asi is the root for laugh is there a word or words for laughing or laughter?

Yes, it is pronounced that way, but "asi-" is not an independent word but a root. I use roots rather than infinitives for verbs because the northern and southern divisions of Quechua (like Ecuador vs Cuzco/Bolivia) have different infinitive suffixes, the former being -na and the latter being -y.

-na is also a noun-forming suffix, and the noun form "asina" I usually hear meaning "joke," but it could probably signify "laughter" as well.
