You're invited to a New Moon ritual in Portland this Friday, 8/29.

Our intention is to invoke the Queer God/dess, the source and embodiment of our queer magic, and to ask for Its blessings on us and on the Queer Magic gathering (9/11-14, www.queermagic.org). (All are welcome; you don't have to be registered for the gathering or planning to attend.)

We'll meet at the entrance to Mt. Tabor Park (SE 60th and Salmon) at 7 p.m. Bring drums and snacks, and wear fabulous finery if you like. We'll process to the top of the mountain, and drum and sing in Spirit up there.

If you can't join us in person but want to support this intention, here's a piece of spellwork that you can do:

Some time between Friday sunset and the New Moon (12:59 p.m. on Saturday, 8/30), charge some water with the spirit of the Queer God/dess. You might pray or chant over it, place it on top of a picture, write an invocation on the bottle, write on a rock and drop it in, etc. etc.

Keep that water on your altar until the next Full Moon. If you're coming to the gathering, bring it with you -- we'll use it in the opening circle on Thursday, 9/11. Otherwise, release it with thanks into running water on the Full Moon, September 15.

Love and Blessed Be!
