Shy newbie seeks guidance and advice

Hi. I'm pretty new to the 'scene' or 'lifestyle' or whatever you want to call it. Though I identify as a submissive, I've never been involved in an actual BDSM scene with anyone. I've never been involved in sex or erotic play with more than one person at a time. Gender-wise, I consider myself a non-op M2F t-girl, but my sexual preference is for women primarily, with a secondary interest in exploring sexual relations with other M2F t-girls, though I have yet to actually do so (does this mean I should call myself a lesbian, or bi, or what, I'm confused about some of the labeling?)

I actually had an opportunity to take part in a group scene about a month ago, but I shied away from it because I didn't know what to expect. Nevertheless, I am considering coming to the Queer Playground Beltane party this Friday. I'm curious and I would like to actually have some kind of B/D experience to get my feet wet (and maybe get my pussy wet too!). But I am very hesitant. Ideally, I guess I'd like to start exploring some of my desires in private one-on-one. But so far I haven't been able to find a partner to begin doing that (meaning someone I am attracted to, who is also attracted to me, and who is serious about meeting up and doing something instead of just flirting like most of the people I've met up with online). Meaning, I'm not really so keen or comfortable with a group play scene but I'm open to trying it out. A Citadel party where safe and consensual play is the enforced rule seems like a safe place to begin.

I'm not sure what to expect if I get up the nerve to go this Friday. I'll probably get hit up by a lot of male tranny-chasers and I guess I'll have to learn to be comfortable with saying "No". But I am afraid I might just end up sitting on the sidelines waiting for Ms. Right to come up and invite me all evening. I'm so shy, dammit...

And is it okay for me to come to a play party alone, as a single? I guess it would be better if I had a companion (hint hint, any pretty goth GG or t-girl out there want to be my date?)

If anyone wants to offer me any helpful advice or encouragement, please speak up. I'm not sure if I'm just too much of a shrinking violet for this sort of scene and maybe I should just stay home.

The summer street fair season is just around the corner!

The San Francisco Dept. of Public Health – STD Prevention and Control
Section is once again forming its local volunteer team to help conduct
outreach and recruit people for STD screening at the summer street fairs
(Dore Alley, Folsom Street Fair, Castro Street Fair).

To be a part of the team you will need to attend a brief sexual health
training and be willing to talk about sex, health and STD screening.

SF Pride Parade 2008 Monitor training coming up soon

SF Ctiadel is proud to be in the 2008 San Francisco Pride Parade with both a marching contingent and a decorated truck (by our very own Master Erik). It looks like the pony carts will be in the parade as well.

I will be driving the truck so we will not be going so fast that anyone will have to run this time. We will be in the Leather Contingent, the largest contingent in the parade. Come and join us.

It’s going to be a wonderful day. We want marchers, single tale players, people in leather and levis and everyone who supports Gay Pride. If you want to march but are concerned about being recognized, it’s ok to wear a mask or hood.

We must have both wheel monitors and contingent monitors. They must go through training every year.

That being said, we will be having a wheel and contingent monitor training class on Wed, June 18th from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. We need two wheel monitors for each axel of the truck which means four wheel monitors and we need one contingent monitor for every 25 marchers.

There will be more training classes offered at different locations. Check out the training at:

Go to the Parade pull down menu and select Contingent Monitors for the dates and times of the training.

We want everyone to be in the parade, visit our booth in Leather Alley and come to the cool down event after the parade and celebration.

Does anyone know of any queer bdsm play parties happening on new year's eve? I'm looking for a way to 'ring in the new year' with a trans FTM play partner. I want to be able to both play and celebrate in what feels like a safe space for me, a queer high femme, and for him, a gay boy. Power Exchange doesn't seem to be an appropriate place. Drinking beers at the eagle I don't think will cut it either.

Anyone wanna wrestle on Friday, 10/26?

I was curious if there's any toughies out there that might want to roll around with me and wrestle, punch, and make-out rough-like on Friday. Think 12 year-old boys (all genders welcome) that get the house all to themselves without parental supervision and beat up on one another in a homo-erotic fashion.

I'm very flexible with this simultaneous power-sharing ('primal play'), but personally love receiving and giving the following:

This is very active play, sweat inducing (as in *I* sweat a lot, so you'll get slippery) and hilarious. We can take turns in-scene switching, or if you're actually stronger than me I'd love to be topped, but this isn't a scene that is focused on obedience or rigid Top/Bottom dynamics (which I also love), but being able to share power in an equal format, which can be very fun and liberating, and sometimes be reminiscent of ritualistic strength training. PM me or let's talk about it here. I love bruises, scratches and all kinds of marks, so if you have a lot of marks restrictions, this might not be the best scene for you.

Finally, while I am flexible about some things, aftercare is a must for me. I exert a lot of energy and there's nothing like laying in a bed cuddling and holding one another to help my inner-bully not feel like an awful Dr. Jekyll. I would also like to be able to chat with whoever I play with the next day and if comfortable, get coffee sometime down the road.
