The project is called 'Quoting Empowerment'. All the work is done. All that has to be done is to photocopy and distribute a page LoaDeD with great empowering and wise words from such elders as Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, Einstein, Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Churchill, da Vinci, Gandhi and the Dalai Lama. I have carefully hand-picked each quote; I learned the meaning of privilege sorting through so many lessons to condense so few onto one double-sided page!
The objective is to give beggars something to give back; wisdom. The suggested donation on the page says one dollar or any item of food; this will motivate the needy to use it because it will offer them abundance as well as the chance to absorb the lessons within. The choice as to what they choose to spend their money on will always be theirs, but perhaps they will gain a renewed hope and self-respect in making a difference in our society, and look again towards more positive patterns.
If you wish to distribute this, I am more than happy to send you a copy. I hope this spreads across North American cities and even the world's cities. It's simple, cheap and limitless. If you know anyone who wishes to participate, have them contact me with their email address.
All I ask of you is that you share at least one copy of these quotations which I found at www.QuotationsPage.com, and keep one for yourself! And if you get a chance, honour QuotationsPage by clicking on their advertising banners because we could not do this if they didn't provide us with these wise words for soo long already; they get paid for every click, I think. Note: I am in no way affiliated with QuotationsPage. Well, not yet at least. I’ll keep you posted if that changes.
To get a copy of the document I have prepared already, contact me (Howler) with an email address that I can send a text document to OR visit a quotations source and create your own, please!
I have no quotes by women yet and know there must be many out there too! Share it with us, please!
“Words are sacred: what we say, how we say it, to whom we speak, these are urgent considerations. We cannot be innocent or shy about our gifts and wisdom and must step forward to meet the urgencies of this time if we are to help create the kind of world we truly wish to live in, if we are to imagine a story with a future.” ...Deena Metzger
