He said the reason he is not supporting impeachment, although he'd enjoy it, is that the Republicans are jumping off of Bush's ship like rats. They don't want him at their birthday parties or to be photographed with him. He said that if an attempt to impeach Bush is made, the Republicans will rally around him again as their leader. And they will have a hard time impeaching him.
A member of the audience then reminded Congressman Inslee that his job is first and foremost to protect the Constitution. And that means impeaching Bush.
My husband had this problem at work recently. There was a co-worker that had to be right. He thought he was right with everything, yet he did everything wrong. It took awhile but the boss caught on and laid him off. But not after a lot of upsets and destruction was caused by one man. The job is much more peaceful and work is are running smoother, and all because one man was kicked off the job.
Peace, Deborah
