Random Rab music video for ¨The Riddle¨ directed by Mariano Diaz and
produced by Melissa Wynne-Jones
with Hilary Nichols. Creative synopsis below.

Make-Up, costuming and styling: malakai, mariano, Faith, arrow one and others
Cast: slowly building (one of the stars is little Lali!)
sets and art- good folks
Other support: matt bass

The shoot date is scheduled for April 22 in the Bay Area. We're
sending out this announcement to see if you'd like to be involved in
the video from production support to make-up art to contributing
costumes to set design or performing to whatever else is your special
skill. We're in the process of casting.

Starting with this email shout out and will follow up with calls and
additional emails on specifics soon.

The quick creative (longer version coming to those interested):
--- Basically, it's a LOOSELY
based story, on wonderland and the absurdity of life. Little girl
(Lali) goes to office with daddy for "bring your kid to work day."
Along the way on the train, on the sidewalk, etc. encounters
interesting folks (or a random clown type of person) who gives her a
balloon (or something less obvious/weird - a pile of leaves, a
crystal, some incense, a ladybug, a bag of flies (rab's thoughts).


At the office, dad needs to work so tells girl to keep herself busy.
She walks into the hallway when the elevator door opens. Another
interesting character there with similar feel to other characters. He
tells her to come in the elevator and she follows. That's when it all
begins. She goes down the elevator and comes out into this cavernous
magical place...

Where she encounters all sorts of interesting characters and little
vignettes of different types of folks.. porcelain marionette stilter
types, a tea party scene, marionette aerialists, statuesque/butoh type
of dolls/folks, etc...
The look is kind of like the Cirque Corteo party for those that were
there â€" but less white as that is
bad for the camera… more like grays and bluish pastels with hints of
black and orange..think nightmare before xmas and "edward gauri"

with a hint of edwardian masquerade> antiquated look - fellinesque -
but with a more creature, grittier type of feel. Think 1800s New
Orleans voodoo. But more specific on types of characters to come
(pictures to illustrate this will come soon or be posting on tribe).

the little girl continues in amazement through all these different
scenes and ends up in this big party scene where rab is singing. at
some point, a grim reeper type of character appears who threatens
folks.

Little elijah does a trance on him by spinning fire and the greeper
gets won over.. transformed...a little more happens and then...

back in the office dad is looking for daughter. Zoom back in on
daughter's perspective as she opens her eyes to find herself in
elevator with her dad... but maybe in her pocket is some magical token
of the underworld.
