Hello everybody,
Someone in French forums post that news : Since November 2007 Rachel is no more working for and with BDSS. I wanted to check with you this info as it sounds strange to me.

I don`t find it strange at all...The Indigo is seperate from BDSS, this leaves her to work with The Indigo more. -

Of course, I know BDSS used to keep her very busy. But my real question is : when BDSS will come to Europe (Raks Britania or other), will she be there too ? Or not anymore for ever ?
Do you get what I mean ? LSR is touring in the USA, not in Europe. So BDSS is, by now, the only way we could see her performing with her friends. And I miss that so much.
So I would like to have a kindda "official info". On this French forum, reactions are exactly the same as here : some say "yes, I think because..." other "no, I don't think so because..." but in fact noone really knows, so I'm still wondering. -

Tue, January 22, 2008 - 7:57 PMThe Inkwell Rhythm Makers. The broke up in June or so. I took the Mardi Love workshops in San Luis Obispo at the end of June and she told me then the band had just broken up, hence, no more LSR. She was bummed, but said the guys were going on to pursue their own artistic endeavors which was good for them.
I hadn't heard Rachel left the BDSS though. I'm interested to see if it is true. -

Wed, January 23, 2008 - 12:08 AMHmmm... unless something has happened since Mardi called me from the tour a couple months ago (and it very well could have), I think this is false. I think I know where it comes from, though. If you haven't noticed, Rachel and Sharon trade off on touring. So Rachel did the east coast leg of the tour which ended Nov and now she's doing her own and Indigo stuff for a while without BDSS while Sharon takes over the west coast tour and UK. But Mardi said something about BDSS tour plans for Nov 08 so I think Rachel will be back then.
As for LSR, their friends and touring band the Inwell Rhythm Makers broke up in July. Mardi found out when she was in Seattle with me so I was one of the first to know. SO glad I hitched a ride to Bellingham at the last minute to see LSR instead of waiting for the rumored Seattle show which never happened! If you ever have the chance to see Rachel or The Indigo live, DO IT! Don't wait until next time because it may never happen. Same can be said for most good things in life, actually.... -

I was thinking of possibly missing this in view of the BDSS UK tour in October, but if it means avoiding going a whole year without seeing Rachel... -

I won't be in Raqs Brittania, actually... and I'm not sure how much work I'll be doing with BDSS after 2008. We have a good working relationship, and I'll most likely make appearances with the company for short-term projects, but touring has become so difficult for me. I'm trying to find a balance between having a healthy home-life and a nurturing creative-life, while still getting out there and performing. The ideal for me would be smaller, more intimate shows and shorter tours.
Mardi and I will continue to make some of the dances for BDSS, so our work will be in the shows.
Also, Mardi and I will be in France, Spain, Holland and Germany this summer, and Japan and Korea this Spring, so come see us then if you can.
We'll keep you posted about The Indigo's future touring plans. We have some ideas in process and will let you know as soon as everything firms up, but rest assured we ain't retiring yet!!

I know it's not the same as live, but it's better than nothing. I only wish there'd been an LSR DVD. I'd really hoped there'd be a DVD of the latest BDSS tour too but I have to confess a lot of the air gets let out of it if RB isn't *on* the bally thing...
