A new video on her web site

Rachel has posted her winning performance from the 2007 Wiggles of the West competition on her web site. It also includes the award ceremony for her category at the end.

Bad news, the camera person did a wide angle shot of the stage, so you lose some of the nuances of her dance. But at least, it's there.

Portland bound

My friend and daughter of my heart will be turning 21 years old on Saturday May 31st.
She wants to see Rachel dance, so our families will be Portland Pasha's bound on Saturday the 31st. Right now we are looking into accomodations for the night. Any suggestions for the Pasha area?
She is very excited and we are all looking forward to our little adventure.

Class is open to all levels - Beginning students through Pro level. A great introduction to both Rachel's signature style and technique while learning how to identify an array of rhythms as each phrase in this sassy and humorous choreography has a different rhythm change. This class is applicable to any style of Bellydance.
Class size is limited to 15 participants.

12-2pm Layering Isolations & Technique
Class is open to all levels Beginning students through Pro level. A challenging technique class that will teach you how to layer multiple isolation movements together in a colorfully creative way that will make the audience say "Wow... how did she do that?" This class is applicable to any style of Bellydance. Class size is limited to 15 participants.

3:00-5:00pm The "Six/Eight"... Rachel's Way!
Class is open to Intermediate through Pro level Dancers. Zilling & Dancing to the fun 6/8 Rhythm... with an emphasis on contemporary Persian music! Bring your Finger cymbals. This class is applicable to ANY style of Bellydance.
Class size is limited to 15 participants.

Monday Nov. 3rd 2008

6:00-9:00pm Pro Level "Hardcore Training"
This class is open to Advanced Dance Students through Pro Level. Rachel's signature approach to: making your improvised show & choreographed performance flow with ease, zilling those finger cymbal patterns flawlessly, smooth technique, layering isolations with combinations & floor movement. She will show you how to bring the best out of your dance repertoire! This class is applicable to ANY style of Bellydance.
Class size is limited to 15 participants.

Wiggles of the West 2008

Rachel will be at Wiggles for 2008. Read on.

Yes, I am working on Wiggles of the West, even though I seem to be behind on everything. I just heard back from Rachel, Entertainer of the Year 2007, and she is all for it. She will be teaching the Friday afternoon workshop!!

So we have: Sirens In Sanity and Jim Boz on Thursday, Rachel on Friday afternoon, and I will be teaching Saturday morning.

Now to get the forms set up.
