das Europäische Rainbowgathering 2010 wird in Finnland stattfinden.

Es beginnt mit dem Neumond im Juli und endet mit Neumond im August.
Das bedeutet, es beginnt am 10.Juli und geht bis zum 11.August 2010.
Vollmond Celebration wird am 25.7.2010 sein.

WE have the pleasure to Invite you to annual Bulgarian Rainbow Gathering ,dates from 20th of august to 18th of September 2009 with full moon celebration in 4th of September

To reach there: from Plovdiv take the road to Karlovo and turn to Hisarya, before Hisarya turn to village Starosel. In Starosel in one point do not continue to the main road, but turn right on the road leading to Tracian Sacred place. When you go outside the village you will meet a big hotel comlex on your right called the Wine House(Vinarna) . After the Wine house
on Your right before a small bridge on the asphalt road, you will see a
good dirt road. Take this road . Soon it will cross a river you can
continue on the river till the place or continue to the dirt road till you meet a beautifl magic medow.Possibly welcome home and parking there. At the end of the meadow go down to the
river cross it and you will find rainbow place.. Welcome home!!!!
Please do not bring plastic, alcohol meat and drugs
As the place is a bit close to the village please lets not be nude.
Bring everything you need for outside camping your bows and spoons..

invitation Benelux - Rainbow - gathering august-septmeber 2009

Beloved family,

We invite you all to come and share your visions, inspiration, skills and creativity on the first Benelux Rainbow Gathering that will be held in a beautiful little place in the Belgian province of Luxemburg, called la Toup Toup.

Those who were at the last belgian gaterhing will know this place, we were there two years ago too. La Toup Toup is a small field alongside a mountain river, in the middel of a big magical forest, near the village of O?r. After an adventurous scouting trip, the Belgian focalisers ended up in O?r again and found out that the scouts who camped there all summer leave on the 16th of August.

The scouts still clean up till the 20th, but we can start our seedcamp on the 18th and get the gathering going on the thursday the 20th. We will gather till friday the 18th of september and clean up in the weekend afterwards.

PLEASE BRING:
Your personal spoon, fork, knife, cup and plate
Your personal camping material: tent or tarp, sleeping
bag, extra blankets, (the weather can be wet and
cold so be prepared)
Organic food you like to share
Camp material: tipi's, shovel, tarps, rope, kitchen
stuff, JERRYCANS !!!, tools for workshops, drawing and
painting material, candles, oil lamp, ...
Acoustical musical instruments
Natural medicine and healing stuff
Books for the rainbow library
Some money for the magic hat
Your children, your good will and your abundance, your
love and laughter!!!

PLEASE LEAVE AT HOME
Alcohol and drugs,
Electrical and electronical equipment (mobiles,
laptops, gameboys, amplified music etc,)
Chemicals, soap, washing powder
Try to avoid bringing packing material, you
take your own garbage back with you.
Your dog: experience shows us that living together
with a group of people is hard to combine with dogs:
the general hygiene, the open kitchen, children
running around, the spring that need to stay pure ...
If you really have to take your dog, don't let him/her
run around unguided, pick up every shit and burry it
deep enough, don't let your dog come into the kitchen
or near the spring.

HOW TO GET THERE
The village of O?r is located in the community of
Paliseul, about 15 km from Bouillon in the province of
Luxembourg, in the south of Belgium.
On the E411 in the direction of Luxemburg, take the
exit 24 and then take the direction Maissin. In
Maissin, go to O?r.
In the village of O?r follow the road going north (Rue
de Porcheresse) . Do not go over the bridge crossing
the river but follow straight on (Rue de Lesse). The
road makes a turn to the right, in between some
stables, follow left (do not take the road going
straight on), at the next junction take left road where you
leave the asphalt road. A little further on is the parking
place. Please leave your car there, and follow the signs
through the forest, along the river O?r, untill you get to
La Toup Toup. It takes about half an hour to walk down.
Don't drive your car down to the camping site, the
road in the forest is pretty bad.

Public transport : the nearest trainstation is
Paliseul, this is about 8 km from O?r, from O?r to the
gathering (La Toup Toup) is another
3 km. There is ?unfortunately- only one bus per week
going from Paliseul to O?r, on thursday at 12h40 (line
6 ). If you can, take your bike on the train, or
hitchhike.

DESCRIPTION DE LA ROUTE
Le village d'O?r fait partie de la commune de Paliseul
et se trouve ? 15 km de Bouillon, dans la province du
Luxembourg, daans le Sud de la Belgique.
Sur la E411 dans la direction de Luxembourg, prenez la
sortie 24, d'o? vous continuez dans la direction de
Maissin. De l?, vous suivez jusqu'? O?r.
Dans le village d'O?r, vous prenze la Rue de Porcheresse vers le Nord. Ne prenez pas la rue ? gauche (pont sur l'O?r), mais continuez tout droit, par la Rue de Lesse. Elle tourne ? droite, passe entre
quelques ?tables, tourne ensuite ? gauche (pas tout droit!). Quand vous arrivez ? une bifurcation, prenez ? gauche, le chemin n'est plus asphalt?. Un peu plus loin se trouve le parking. De l?, vous allez ? pied ? travers le bois, vous longez la rivi?re jusqu'? ce que vous arrivez ? la Toup Toup, une promenade d'une demie heure.

Transports publics: il y a une gare ? Paliseul, de l? jusqu'? O?r, c'est encore 7 km, et puis encore 3 km jusqu'? la Toup Toup. Il n'y a qu'un seul bus par semaine de Paliseul ? O?r, c'est le jeudi ? 12h40,
ligne 6.
Si vous pouvez, prenez vos v?los sur le train, ou faites du stop.

Lieve familie,

Wij nodigen jullie allen uit om je idee?n, inspiratie, vaardigheden en creativiteit te komen delen op de eerste Benelux Rainbow Gathering die we dit jaar houden op een mooi plekje, in de Belgische provincie Luxemburg, genaamd la Toup Toup.

Zij die erbij waren op de laatste Belgische gathering kennen deze plek, we waren daar twee jaar geleden ook. La Toup Toup is een klein veldje naast een bergrivier, midden in van een groot magisch bos, dichtbij het dorpje O?r. Na een avontuurlijke scouting trip, belandden de Belgische focalisers opnieuw in O?r en kwamen te weten dat de scouts die daar al de hele zomer kamperen, op 16 augustus vertrekken.

De scouts moeten nog wel wat wat opruimen, tot den 20ste, maar wij kunnen ons seedcamp op dinsdag de 18de beginnen en de gathering van start laten gaan op donderdag den 20ste. Op vrijdag 18 september is 't gedaan, in het weekend daarna ruimen we op.

WAT MEE TE BRENGEN
Je eigen lepel, vork, pennemes, kop, bord
Je eigen kampeergerief: tent, slaapgerief, extra
dekens (het kan koud zijn), bescherming voor de regen
(de vallei kan vochtig zijn)
Kamp materiaal: tipi's, spade, zeilen, zaag,
kookgerief, touw, JERRYCANS !!!, gereedschap voor
workshops, teken- en schildergerief, kaarsen,
olielamp...
Natuurlijke geneesmiddelen en verzorgingsspullen voor
het healing centre
Acoustische muziekinstrumenten
Boeken voor de Rainbow Bibliotheek
Wat geld voor de magic hat
Je kinderen, je goeie wil en je overvloed, je lach en
je liefde!!!

WAT LAAT JE THUIS
Alcohol en drugs
Elektrische en elektronische apparaten (gsm afzetten,
geen laptops, gameboys, radio's e.d.)
Zeep en wasproducten
Beperk zoveel mogelijk het verpakkingsmateriaa l, het
is de bedoeling dat je je eigen afval terug meeneemt
Je hond: ervaring leert ons dat samenleven met een
grote groep mensen moeilijk te combineren valt met
honden: er is de open keuken, er lopen kinderen rond,
de bron voor het drinkwater moet zuiver blijven, het
kamp moet hygi?nisch blijven. Als het echt niet anders
kan, verwachten we dat je hond rustig is en goed
luistert, dat je hem/haar altijd bij je hebt, dat je
onmiddellijk alle kaka opruimt en diep genoeg
begraaft, en dat ie niet in de keuken en aan het
bronnetje komt.

WEGBESCHRIJVING:
Het dorpje O?r maakt deel uit van de gemeente Paliseul en ligt op ongeveer 15km van Bouillon, in de provincie Luxemburg, Zuid Belgi?.
Op de E411 richting Luxemburg, neem je afslag 24 en volg je de weg tot in het dorp Maissin. Vandaar volg je de wegwijzers naar O?r.
In O?r volg je de Rue de Porcheresse in noordelijke richting, niet over de brug links, maar rechtdoor de Rue de Lesse volgen. De baan draait naar rechts, tussen enkele stallen, dan naar links (niet
rechtdoor!) en splitst dan even later waar de asfalt over gaat in zand. Even verderop is de parking. Laat daar je auto achter en wandel een half uurtje door het bos met de rivier O?r links tot je in La Toup Toup bent. Dus niet het bos inrijden, het pad is nogal slecht.

Openbaar vervoer: er is een station in Paliseul, dat op 7 km van O?r ligt. Van in O?r is het nog 3 km tot in La Toup Toup. Er is, jammer genoeg, maar 1 bus per week van Paliseul naar O?r (lijn 6, donderdag om 12.40u).
Als je kan, neem dan je fiets mee op de trein, of doe autostop.

Der Grundgedanke dieses Rainbows ist, die Kräuter, Blüten, Samen, Nüsse, Wurzeln und Früchte so zu essen, wie sie uns Mutter Erde zur Verfügung stellt - zumindest ohne sie durch Kochen zu verändern... gemeinsam mit den Schwestern und Brüdern im Geist der Liebe... Wir zelten auf einer Wiese mit Wald und einem Bach zum Baden/Waschen. Kinder sind willkommen. Bitte keine Hunde mitbringen!
Ernährung: Ausschließlich mit selbstgesammelten Wildpflanzen und gekauftem Obst und Gemüse, möglichst aus heimischem biologischem Anbau. Bitte bringt kein Brot, keine Backwaren, nichts wärmebehandeltes Essen, kein Kochgeschirr, kein Tabak, kein Alkohol und keine Drogen mit!! Wer auf diese Dinge nicht die paar Tage oder Wochen verzichten mag, soll sich bitte ein anderes Gathering aussuchen. Günstig für die Heilung (Entgiftung) ist, vor dem Gathering zu fasten (nur Wasser trinken). Das könnt ihr gerne beim Vorbereitungscamp (s.u.) oder beim Rainbow machen. Wenn ihr die Rohkost-Ernährung mit hohem Kräuteranteil beibehaltet, verschwinden nach unseren Erfahrungen innerhalb einiger Wochen fast alle Krankheiten. Mit dem Rainbow laden wir alle Betroffenen ein, dies auszuprobieren.

Welcome to the Rawfood-Rainbow 22/07 to 02/08 in the Swabian Alp (South
Germany)! The idea of this Rainbow is to eat the fruits, herbs, flowers,
seeds, nuts and roots just as mother earth gives them to us - thus without
changing them by cooking... together with our sisters and brothers in the
spirit of love... Please don´t bring dogs! Childs are welcome.
Nutrition: Selfcollected wild fruits and herbs and bought fruits,
vegetables, seeds and nuts from biological agriculture. If desired, we'll
prepair salads. Please don´t bring bread, cookies, cooked food, cooking
dishes, tobacco, alcohol and drugs!! Those who don´t want to renounce
these things, should please look for another Gathering. Good for the
healing (detoxification) would be to fast (drinking water only) before the
Gathering ; you can make it on the Seed Camp or on the Rainbow. If you stay
on rawfood after the Gathering, almost all sicknesses will go away after a
few weeks, this is our experience. We invite everybody to try this.

Visa issue ( problem )

Dear brothers and sisters

This way I would like to thank Das brothers who pushed Ukraine to be next site of the European Rainbow Gathering in 2009 .
This way all of us not from the EU ( Croatia , Bosnia , Serbia ... Israel ... ) can not join in .
We need to book tour via some tour agency like 10 days of hotel in Kijev , or to get guaranty letter from an Ukrainian citizen , which
you will agree is rather unpractical thing .

Some thinks to think about :

1 . Slovakia and Hungary are some 100 km away from current Rainbow site , why not these countries ?
2 . Where is compassion if you think only for your self , not others where is Rainbow Spirit ?
3 . Is Rainbow only joints by camping fire , if it is not why decisions like that ?

And last but not least - why such cruel decision for brothers and sisters from less fortunate countries ? This is Babylon mentality , not spirit of the Rainbow .

I hope you will enjoy in Ukraine , many of us will not .

Dear sisters and brothers, please read carefully the invitation as well
as the following information:

Seedacamp

In order not to create any problems before the beginning of the
gathering we kindly ask everybody from the family who wants to help us
preparing the gathering not to come before the 14-15 of June (official
beginning of the seedcamp).

How to get there

By public transportation

====================

The site is easy to reach by public transportation. Trains from Italy
and from Switzerland to Bellinzona, from there regional train until
Locarno. From Locarno continue by postal car to Spruga. Postal cars run
from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. (working days) or 7 p.m. (saturday and
sunday). Stay in the bus until the last stop.

By car

======

>From Milano there are two ways:

1) take the highway A9 Como - Chiasso - Switzerland to the border. To
run on Swiss highways you have to purchase a sticker which costs 30 €.
Continue on the highway until the exit Bellinzona Sud or take the
slower road until Cadenazzo. Continue in the direction of Locarno.
After the tunnel of Locarno take the exit Onsernone and follow the
signs to Losone. In the center of Losone turn right in the direction of
Golino.

2) take the highway A26 to Gravellona Toce and continue to Domodossola,
then turn right and take the road Nr. 337 to the swiss border. Continue
to Intragna, after that village turn right and you will soon be in
Golino.

Once you are in Golino enter the village and cross it heading
downhills. The parking is located below the village along the river. In
case this parking is already full there is a second parking on the
right hand side of the road connecting Losone to Golino, directly after
the barracks.

Attention: you can go to Spruga by car only for unloading your baggage
and bring it to the village. If you stay longer than 3 hours swiss
police will fine you and carry your car away.

In order to reach Spruga you have to take the postal car because there
are absolutely no parkings near the campside. The first car runs at
7.20 a.m. the last one at 6.20 p.m. (mon-fri) or 7.20 p.m. (sat-sun).
Get off at the last stop.

Once you are in Spruga

Continue by foot on a road until you come to Bagni di Craveggia (2 km),
following the indications on the yellow signs. Proceed on a path for 2
km until you get to the place called Alpe Fondo Monfraccio.

The Peace in the Middle East Rainbow Gathering has just started near Fethiye. The detailed directions for going to the site is below.
Please remember that Rainbow gatherings are non-commercial events where we gather to remember that we are all one, and that we can live in harmony with each other and Mother Nature. We get together to share, celebrate and experience living without the need for leaders, money relations or modern conveniences. While we learn from each other with respect and love, we heal ourselves through retreat to nature.
When coming to the gathering please bring your personal camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc), bowl, cup, water bottle, acoustic music instruments, and toys. The gathering will be at 800 meters altitude so bring some warm clothing for the nights and also rainproof gear.
It is also good to bring vegetarian food to be cooked in the main kitchen and shared with everyone. Tools are also welcome. We will be far from any civilization so bring a good supply of things you may personally need during the gathering (contact lens liquid, medication etc).
Please DO NOT bring any alcohol, meat, drugs, dogs, electronic gadgets or things that may otherwise disturb the nature and our harmony. If you want to take a picture/video always ask permission from the people around you. Since you will be carrying all the items you bring back with you when you leave including your trash, plan accordingly. If you really have to bring your dog, be responsible for it at all times and don’t let it wander about freely. Most of all leave behind your consumer habits, addictions, hang-ups and negative thinking, and come with love.
The gathering site is near the village of ARPACIK (previously known as Nif), 35 kms to the town of Fethiye, on the Southwest coast of Turkey. It is quite a big village, the biggest one in the region, with some general stores, a hardware shop, a couple of eateries, etc. Fridays there is fresh food market all day long. We have good relations with the villagers; please pay attention to help keep it this way by being respectful and culturally sensitive. We are about 6 kms from the center of this widespread village.

To go there:

- You can take a shared minibus (dolmush) from downtown Fethiye to ARPACIK for 4.50 Liras. (Times: Weekdays 11.00, 13.00, 15.15, 16.30, 19.00; Saturdays 11.00, 13.00, 15.15, 19.00; Sundays only 19.00)

- If you are flying to Dalaman, you can reach Fethiye by shuttle bus for 20 TL any time of day and night.

- If you are driving or cycling, from the main Fethiye-Antalya road take the UZUMLU diversion, drive through Yeni Uzumlu and up the mountain for 28 kms and find the Arpacik road on the left which is 2 kms. You can get 3,5 kms closer to the site by your vehicle.

- When you arrive at the village please visit the village headman (muhtar) and register.

- The minibus you come with will take you 3 kms further if you tell them you are going to the rainbow gathering (if you're non-Turkish they will possibly know).

- From the village center go further on the main road, take the bridge to the left and keep on the asphalt for 3 kms. When you see it fork (both asphalt) take the left road. When you see the bus stop (minibus can bring you here) take the dirt road just a few meters before that (good for vehicles). This road goes down and makes a U-turn and after a few hundred meters arrives at a little mosque. This is where you can park your vehicle and find the first signs on the walking path. From village center to this point is 3.5 kms.

- The walking path is well marked with white strips of cloth hanging on branches and occasional stone piles. After a little walk between fields and a not steep uphill by the forest, you come to a narrow footpath which is generally stony on the ground sometimes overgrown with bush but not too much up and down. Keep watching the signs. This last part can be a little challenging for some but the few steps on the rocks and few branches that we have to bend down to cross are not too bad. It is not easy to get lost but seeing the signs in the dark may be hard.

- The whole walking trail between the mosque and the gathering site is less than 2 kms and takes about 45 minutes with luggage (take some water with you whe you start). If you walk from the village that adds an easy 3.5 kms walk on the asphalt.

Full moon is June 7th.

Due to some circumstances, there is a NEW PLACE FOR THE AUSTRIAN
SPRINGGATHERING : Freiland near Deutschlandsberg in Styria
(Steiermark/Southern Austria).
...a very magical place in the forest next to a beautiful river (where
the Springgathering was 2005).
The owner is very open but is very important for him that the gathering
definitely ends on 24th of june.

VERY IMPORTANT !!! If you are planing on coming very early, be prepared
to bring everything you need yourself(Food,...), because teepees,
kitchentools, working tools, etc. is coming around 1st of june.

>From Graz: Go to DEUTSCHLANDSBERG (either over B70/B76
or A9 Exit Leibnitz/B74). In the
small city Deutschlandsberg you look for direction
HEBALM (close to the train-station).
On that way you cross FREILAND, a small village. Some
kilometers after the village,
directly before a T-cross and a gasoline-station,
there is a FOREST-PATH on your left
side. (A chapel is next to the cross.) Go there and
follow the the signs of stoff.

From A2 Klagenfurt: Directly before the PACK-tunnel
take Exit 231 and go the road B70
into south, direction Wolfsberg. After several
kilometers turn left into direction
HEBALM. Go through Hebalm, then through St. Oswald and
then look for direction FREILAND,
a street on the right side. After a gasoline-station
you turn right for Freiland.
Directly there, some 20 meters after the cross, a
forest-path is on the right side going
down to the RAINBOW. Follow the signs of stoff.

From all other drections: Try to reach
Deutschlandsberg (~30 km southwest from Graz) anyway
and then go like from Graz.

If you are coming very early, you might not find any signs. Just follow
the way down to the river, then go downstream till you reach a very old
and overgrown bridge.

Er liegt im Norden Brandenburgs versteckt in den Hügeln.
Die längsten Tage des Lichts stimmen uns ein auf die Sonnenwende.

Liebe Regenbogenmenschen,

das Frühjahrs-Gathering findet statt!
Der Platz ist gefunden, dort dürfen wir uns treffen! Yippieh!
Jetzt kann das Seedcamp beginnen. Innerhalb der nächsten 48 Stunden geht noch einmal eine Mail mit den genauen Koordinaten raus.
Wer jetzt schon zum Seedcamp möchte, schreibt mir ne Mail: Jost.E@gmx.de und bekommt dann von mir die Wegbeschreibung.

Der Platz liegt in der Eifel, in der Nähe von Monschau (NRW).

Bevor wir unser schönes Rainbowleben dort beginnen können, in der Sonne liegen, am Feuer sitzen, Workshops machen, etc.
müssen noch viele Vorbereitungen getroffen werden.
Vor allem brauchen wir TIPIS, JURTEN und ähnliches. Auch ist noch nicht genügend Werkzeug vorhanden. Äxte, Planen, Schnüre, Schläuche, Spaten,
Große Töpfe, Metallstangen oder Dreinbeine, wo man die Töpfe drauf stellen kann...
All das wird jetzt gebraucht. Weiß jemand den Ort wo solche Sachen (der German Family) lagern und wie wir sie gegebenenfalls in die Eifel kriegen?

Fragen über Fragen, Wünsche über Wünsche,
aber der EINE Wunsch nach einem Gathering, dass es klappt, ist schon in Erfüllung gegangen!

Lasst uns sehen, dass sich jetzt unsere Vision manifestiert!

Welcome to the Rawfood-Rainbow in Spain 31.03.-12.04.2009
The idea of this Rainbow is to eat the fruits, herbs, flowers, seeds,
nuts and roots just as mother earth gives them to us - thus without changing them
by cooking... together with our sisters and brothers in the spirit of
love... We´ll set up our tents on a nice place in the mountains with
drinkable water (it's in a concrete channel, but it comes from the
mountains). There are some small and big caves; if you want, you can sleep
there in. Children are welcome. Please don´t bring dogs!
Nutrition: Selfcollected wild fruits and herbs and bought fruits,
vegetables, seeds and nuts from biological agriculture. If desired, we'll
prepair salads. From a biological farm close by we´ll get almost all
fruits and vegetables. Please don´t go into private plantations! Please
don´t bring bread, cookies, cooked food, cooking dishes, tobacco, alcohol
and drugs!! Those who don´t want to renounce these things, should please look
for another Gathering. If you want to eat something like dried seaweeds,
please bring it. I don´t eat such things, the earth gives us with the wild
plants all we need. Only a little bit of clay or healing earth seems to be
good to me. We have here some clay from a cave; I like to use it
for eating. Good for the healing (detoxification) would be to fast
(drinking water only) before the Gathering (fasting-walking-tour see below). If
wanted,
we can build a fasting group during the Gathering. If you stay on
rawfood after the Gathering, almost all sicknesses will
go away after a few weeks, this is our experience. We invite everybody to
try this.

Weather: Nearly like june in Germany, but a little bit more sunny. The
temperatures are not under +5 degree Celsius, the water has about 17
degrees C
Things to bring: sleeping bag, isolation-mat, lamp, if possible knife,
fork, spoon, plate, instruments, song lyrics, candle, love and peace. If
you don't want to sleep in a cave, bring a tent or tarp. In case of a hard
rain the places in the caves are not all completely dry and safe, and
maybe you have to sleep close together
Costs: On the base of gifts (Magic Hat). The biological farm sells us
fruits and vegetables for 1 to 3 € a kg.
Way description (see also the drawing in the attachment): If you come
by plane to Malaga, go out of the arrival hall
and look for the busstation (signed with "BUS"), you have to go only some
steps. Take the bus line 19, bus depature about every 30 minutes. To the
driver say "Malaga" and pay 1 €. Leave the bus at the last
station (estacion de autobusses). Search there a bus to Nerja/Maro (Cuevas)
from the company "Alsina Graells" (red-green-white-busses). The
platform (number 37 ?) you find on the electronical information board in
the hall, also a counter from "Alsina Graells" to buy the ticket (about 4
€). I have even got the departure times: (every day): 3,15 am / 7,00 am /
8,15 am (not Sundays) / 9,15 am / 10,30 am / 11,00 am / 11,45 am / 12,30 am
/ 1,00 pm / 2,15 pm/ 3,15 pm / 4,30 pm / 5,30 pm / 6,45 pm / 7,30 pm / 8,15
pm / 8,45 pm / 9,30 pm / 11,00 pm. The travel time is about 80 minutes.
Get off in Nerja.
For hitchhikers, wanderers...: The bus station is on the main road N 340 close to the
valley of the Rio Chillar and the only petrol station in Nerja on the N 340.
For car drivers: In the drawing (see attachment) you'll see some
possibilities for parking. Please don't park your car in the valley of the
Rio Chillar! It's important, that the Rainbow remains unobtrusive.
To go from the bus station: Close to the bus station there is a
roundabout,from there go into the little street "Calle Joaquín Herrera"
(direction north-west). After a left turn go into the footway on the right down
into the valley of the Rio Chillar). In the arroyo go right. After 2 km
you'll pass under a big motorway brige. 800 m further there is a
concrete company (there go ahead in the sand road). After 800 m further
you'll see a power pole on a concrete base, after this a little white metal
sheet house. Just after the power pole you'll discover a path of stones, go
up there. Follow the path and don't turn to your right. When you come on a
path with white grit, go up right. After 30 m you'll see on the left in a
distance of 50 m a big cave, reachable by a walking-path... Welcome home!

Bienvenido al Encuentro Arcoiris Crudìvoro del 31.03 al 12.04.2009
La base de este encuentro es, comer sin elaboración,tal cual la madre tierra nos
da: hojas, flores, semillas, nueces, raíces y frutas.... juntos a hermanas y hermanos
en el espíritu de amor... Acampamos en un lugar apartado cerca de La Herradura
con agua. Niños son bienvenidos. ¡Perros no, por favor!

Alimentación: Solo comida cruda recogida del suelo y frutas y verduras de cultivo
ecológico. Hay una finca ecológica con muchas frutas y verduras al lado de
la cala. ¡Por favor, no traer pan galletas, comida cocinada, cosas para cocinar,
tabaco, alcohol y drogas! Es bueno para curarse (detoxificación) de mantener la
dieta (solo beber agua) desde el inicio. Si hay interés, haremos un grupo que
mantenga la dieta. En caso de que continùes con la comida cruda, casi todas las
enfermedades desaparecerán.

Recorrido (gràfico véase arriba o fichero de datos): La Herradura está
aproximadamente a 65 km al este de Málaga. Si vienes con avión a Málaga, sal del
terminal de llegadas y busca la parada de autobuses, veràs un cartel que dice
"BUS" a solo unos pasos saliendo del terminal.
El autobús para Málaga ciudad(Lìnea 19) sale aprox. cada 30 minutos y cuesta 1 €.
Id hacia la estación final (estación de autobuses). Compra un ticket para La
Herradura ( 5.53 €) y verifica el andèn de salida en la pantalla
(usualmente 37 o 38) Incluso tengo el horario de salidas (cada día):
3.15 / 7.00 / 11.00 / 13.00 / 15.00 (excepto domingos) / 15.30
solo domingos) / 17.00 / 17.30 / 19.30.
El viaje dura aprox. 80 minutos. Si llegáis a Almería, toma primero un bus para el
centro y desde ahí salen buses a 10.30 / 13.00 / 16.30 / 23.00 para La
Herradura. Ve por la N-340 dirección Málaga a km 307.

Dirección con auto-stop: Bajar del coche en la N-340 a km 307 o salida La
Herradura de autovia A7 - E15 y ve a N-340, km 307. Pasando km 307 en
dirección Málaga dobla por el segundo camino a la derecha, en frente del letrero
azul: "E15 / A7 Nerja / Málaga". Sigue esto camino approx. 4 km. Dobla por el
proximo camino asfaltado a la izqierda (letrero de madera: "El Cerval Bajo 0,5 km").
Dobla por el proximo camino asfaltado a la derecho (letrero: "Ermita
del Cerval"). Dobla el proximo camino (no asfaltado) a la izqierda (letrero:
"Ermita del Cerval" a la derecho). Donde la bifurcación sigue a la izquierda
por arriba - Bienvenido!

Japan gathering info ... Seed camp starts April 25

Hello family,

We know that you are waiting to hear more about the gathering that we updated information on the top page of this Japan caravan yahoo group, which are:

The Japan gathering will be nearby Nioi #13 stone circle, a sacred place for the indigenous people Ainu, in Nioi, Biratori-cho, Hokkaido, the most northern island of Japan. The exact location will be announced just before the gathering starts.

Seed camp starts April 25
Gathering starts May 24
Full moon is June 8
Clean-up camp starts June 23

This gathering will be the one of the Black Current Gathering.
The site is already found (it's private land) and we are happy to have good resources (beautiful valleys and a river nearby) and good local connections with Ainu people.
The seed camp will start on April 25 and if you have the time, please join the seed camp and help build up a great gathering. It's a priceless experience to observe and be a part of the gathering from the very beginning to the end.

The average temperatures in Hokkaido at the time of the gathering are likely to be 11 degrees (Celsius) in May, and 16 degrees in June, and we won't get much rain (about 70-80 mm in a month).

For family coming from abroad, Hokkaido has an international airport, Shin-Chitose airport, but the flights are limited. Now the direct flight from Bangkok to Hokkaido is 21,400 B (open 1 year), but it is very changeable so keep your eyes on reasonably priced thickets if you plan. There are some overnight-ferries going over to Hokkaido from other areas like Ibaragi (nearby Tokyo), Nigata, Aomori or Kyoto. Also there are some overnight-trains to Hokkaido, but it's as expensive as domestic flights. It might be easier to get to Shin-Chitose airport then take a bus to the area of the site. Hitch-hiking is a good option in Japan and it is possible to do the whole Tokyo-Hokkaido trip by hitch-hiking in a few days, but Hokkaido is another island so you will have to take a ferry or a train at least from Aomori to Hokkaido. Air Do (http://www.airdo. jp/ap/index. html) is the most reasonable for domestic airlines in Japan (110-120 US$ for one way), but it's only possible from Tokyo, Sendai, and Nigata on main island of Japan.

Also keep in mind that Japan has strict drug policies and it will be very wise to keep any form of illegal substances away from the gathering. It is getting a common thing that many festival-goers get busted and arrested during the events. [Although we'll write this in the invitation with all the `bring – don't bring's it may help to say it already to help family visualize and make possible a non-drugged gathering. I'd also rather use `illegal substances' than `drugs' not to start again the discussion of what is a drug and what not.]

This is a new invitation for spring ting, because I was first looking at 2010 calendar for easter holidays. I'm sorry about this confusion, I hope this new invitation will reach all who are coming!

Spring Ting !!! 9.-14.09 in Gaija / Ähtäri / Finland

After lovely gathering last spring in Parainen, I would love to call you all for new a bit longer spring ting gathering in Finland! And you are ofcourse welcomed to stay for longer time than the "official" gathering days too! Our new home is north from Tampere in a little town called Ähtäri. This Gaija -collective has been here for only few years, so everything is very fresh. Varieting about 20 people take part of the daily life of this community. We have 2 big houses - main building 1500m2 so plenty of space for accomondation (beds and matresses we have many, so don't need to worry about sleeping), and big wooden house where many of our collective people live. We have horses and sheep and many dogs and cats. We do organic farming and it'll be about time for planting seeds, when ting happens. A lot of feeling of new life in the house, let's warm the heart of winter cold house together for new summer!

What to bring/not:
- No more pets :) We have so many cats and dogs in this house already!
- No alcohol / drugs, let's get a fresh start for new spring
- We will get a lot of organic food here, so bring some money for the magic hat, and we'll need to ask for little for this place too (about 5€ /night) for electricity, heating etc. expences.
- Your own plate-mug-forkspoonknife

Taiwan.

Dear brothers and sisters of Joy and Light,

I am very happy to share with you that a sight has been found!! Sasko,
the baby and I reached Belgrade and met with the scouts yesterday. It
seems beautiful from what I heard and the pictures I saw. A valley
surrounded by forest with a river running through it, a canyon nearby
and a meadow with wild horses on the way. For now we have permission to
use the land where Uros started the garden and will ask for permission
for rest of the land when we get there. It is pretty wild and deserted,
we believe there will not any problems... Uros will be there from
saturday,July 5th and Sasko, little Skaska and I will join him on the 7th.
Dear Family, WELCOME HOME!!!

*Here are the directions:
*(there are two ways)

From Belgrade you go southeast to PARACIN. You can get there by highway
(BELGRADE- NIS and get off in Paracin) or go by smaller roads (thorugh
MLADENOVAC - KRAGUJEVAC - JAGODINA - CUPRIJA - PARACIN). Then you go
east 27 km, direction ZAJECAR, turn left when you see sign for village
STRAZA. Follow that road for about 20 km and you will reach a crossroad
where you turn right for Brezovica (a huge meadow, if you're lucky
horses will greet you on the way:) Follow the main road for about 14km,
leave your car somewhere there and check for Rainbow signs. There will
be a forest path on your right that goes downwards, stay to your right
and you will meet the river MIZLOK. Follow the path parallel to the
river for about 5 km and you will reach the small Garden of Love Seed
camp. WELCOME HOME!!! We still dont know exactly where we will locate
the welcome center,because the grass is huuuge, but this will be our
first base.

There is another way to get there for those who want to go by foot, 4
wheel drive vehicle or tractor. From PARACIN go east to the town BOR.
Then go to village ZLOT (also a local bus goes there) and go to "Zlotska
pecina - Zlot cave" and "Lazarev kanjon - Lazar's canyon". 50 meters
from the sign for Lazar's canyon turn left and follow this road for 8
km. We will be there...

Brothers and sisters please bring all you can, big pots, kitchen
equipment, axes, shovels, saws, buckets, tarps, ropes, etc.
We didnt buy any kitchen stuff for now, so please inform us if anything
is coming with the families from Spain, France, Italy.
The rest we will buy along the way.

I contacted Nadim regarding Rainbow things left in Bosnia. We still dont
know what has been stored there, but he will bring it.

I just received the news that there will be a gathering in the French Pyrenees from 4th of July to 28th of July. Everybody welcome!
Directions:
from Perpignan take R N116 direction Prades, then at Illes sur Tet go right direction Sournia- D 619; At Sournia continue on D619 direction Prades; after 4km you will see a big rock in the shape of a horn.
Then go right (D F C I) Then follow the signs, pass a house end continue the small road Welcome home!

The place of the Gathering will be on the path of the Total Solar
Eclipse August 1, 2008.

Brothers and sisters from all across the planet are heartily invited
to join this Gathering, to share and exchange knowledge, love and energy.

The Gathering has no organization, no leaders and no regulations.
Rainbow pursues the ideals of peace, reconciliation, common
consciousness, and connection with nature. Tradition keeps gathering

The place is located on 1600m height, 120 km away from Gornoaltaysk,

Take the AP66 to San Pedro de Luna, turn left on to C 623 to Sena de Luna, turn left to Abelgas de Luna and follow signs.

For those who do not pay tolls take the C 623 from Leon direction Villabalter, Shriegos, Lorenzana o Tero de las Duenas. Pass these and continue on the C623 to Sena de Luna. Turn left to Abelgas de Luna and follow signs.

Gebraucht werden noch: Töpfe, Kellen, Wasserkanister, Planen, Seile, Feuerschalen, Instrumente, Spielzeug, Tipis.

Wegbeschreibung: wir sind in Lützelbach bei Seckmauern im Odenwald. Nächster Bahnhof ist Wörth am Main oder Höchst im Odenwald.
Von Wörth kommend in Lützelbach am Rathaus rechts den Berg hoch, durch Wohngebiet durch und dann links halten bis zum Hochbehälter. Dort ist Welcome Center und Abladeplatz. Von dort ist der Autoparkplatz ausgeschildert. Keine Busse am Welcome Center parken!

Noch was Wichtiges: keinerlei Seifen wegen Ökosystem. Das haben wir dem Förster versprochen. Alternativen sind Waschnüsse oder Zitronen.

We, who are brothers & sisters, children of The Great Spirit, families of life on earth, friends of nature & of all people, children of humankind calling ourselves Warriors of the Rainbow and/or the Rainbow Family and the Rainbow
Global Network invites:
All races, peoples, tribes, communes, men, women, children, individuals –

All nations & national leaders -- out of respect
All religions & religious leaders -- out of faith
All politicians -- out of charity,
to join with us for the Second Global Rainbow Gathering of the Tribes taking place in the County/Municipio of La Paz, Baja California Sur – Mexico from November 1st-30th of 2008. This is an open and totally non-commercial event with no monetary sales of goods or services. Barter and Trade are acceptable and encouraged.
It is a-political & a-religious and all decisions are made in Councils of all those participating who desire to have their voices heard. The General Consensus of the Councils on whatever decisions are made are the guidelines for all to respect.
Traditional Consensus decision reached over the years on whom and what we are, how Gatherings work, etc. can be found by logging onto the Rainbow website: www.welcomehere.org and particularly going to the Rainbow Guide segment and downloading the Mini Manual supplement. This provides a good general outline that most Rainbow Gatherings utilize to formulate the event.
There are no fees, admissions or membership requirements past the respecting of the land, the people attending, the people and communities around us and each in our own ways working toward fulfilling the Prophecies of the Warriors of the Rainbow:
“When the Mother Earth is sick and the animals dying there will come a Tribe of Peoples from all Cultures who believe in deeds, not words, and they will restore the Mother Earth to her former beauty. This Tribe will be called The Warriors of the Rainbow.”
In the interest of protecting the Mother Earth you are encouraged to participate in helping keep the land in its natural state by treading lightly upon it. Please respect everyone's right to use the land in a peaceful manner and help spread the love of nature in thoughtful and meaningful ways. The Spirit of who we are as a human tribe in harmony is the ultimate validation of our common creed.
We are the Rainbow Nation and our collective beauty shines even in the darkest of times, and it is the gift of peace that we bring to share with the world. Let it shine!

General Guidelines and Information:
Harm no living thing; use only down dead wood, cut no living trees or plants.
Do not litter and if you see litter pick it up for deposit in the appropriate place.
Separate trash for recycling and deposit at collection sites.
Put any vegetable matter in compost pits.
Protect our water! Use no soap within 50' of streams.
Do not pee or poop in or near water areas. (150' away)
Do not camp above springs.
Use your own cup, bowl, and spoon, wash them thoroughly, including a bleach dip.
Use only latrine trenches.
Clean up after children and pets.
Cover feces and toilet paper with dirt and ashes.
Wash hands (break the fly connection! Feces-fly-food- you).
Visit CALM if you feel ill, especially if you might have a communicable disease.
Drink only water that has been filtered or boiled briskly for 10 minutes.
Keep your camp secure. "Tempt not, lest ye be lifted from".
Pets should be left at home whenever possible.
Be responsible for your animals. Keep them out of kitchens, food, and fights.
Keep only community fires.
Discourage all forms of drug overindulgence.
Participate in Shanti-Sena workshops and activities.
Weapons are inappropriate.
Engage in no violence.
Volunteer, share and give from your hearts.
Join us on the 1st -2nd of November to celebrate the host Counties’ Traditional Day of the Dead, giving honor to all those who have gone before us in the causes of world peace, the healing of the Mother Earth, injustice and the Rights of all Beings. Please note that we include all artists, musicians and people of the arts in general who have contributed to these things.
Join with us at noon of November 16th for a one hour Silence for World Peace and the Healing of the Mother Earth. We encourage all those who cannot attend the Gathering to maintain that silence where and with whomever they are with at the moment. Note that the time is based on U.S. Mountain Time.
Donate to the Magic Hat which is our means of covering all costs of the Gathering, insuring that sufficient supplies come in to attend to all the needs of the people. The Magic Hat is passed at all Councils and meal circles each day. Make sure to bring your intended contribution to those collection points.
Things to Bring:

Camping Equipment
Sleeping Bags / Blankets
Rain Gear / Tarps
Candles, incense, chimes, drums and acoustic instruments to share the fun things
Kitchen Equipment for Community Kitchens (think large sizes of everything)
Small hand tools
Swimming outfits / tubes
Personal first-aid kit
Sun screen / Lip Balm
Water filter / Containers
Broad brimmed hats are appropriate for this desert county

The Rainbow Family/Warriors of the Rainbow is not for anyone to control as it is freedom in raw form. The Consensus of the General Rainbow Council of all those attending is the sole decision making body. Rainbow General Councils since their inception have reached strong consensuses that nobody is the leader and no group outside of the whole of all peoples attending may claim authority over anybody or anything related to the Gatherings, Events or Projects done in the name of all people who are valid members of the Rainbow Tribes and by extension the Global Network of all Rainbow Peoples.
Ignore any Rumors of Cancellation or Leadership!

Remember that the Prophecy of the Warriors of the Rainbow is the foundation and guiding principle of what we now call The Rainbow Family, the Rainbow Tribes, the Warriors of the Rainbow and a myriad of events and projects which now occur around the world under many Rainbow names.

Hi everybody we've just left Bankok where we got a two month visa to
china.
Travel agencies doing visa services around Kao San Rd would only give a
month, but we went to the embassy and there was a guy on the steps who
did everything for us really quickly... we got a 60 day visa in 4 working
days, for 1500 Baht (30 Euro/ US$50)
It was really quick... no waiting in lines, and all went fine! Now we're on
our way north

Ich war heute mit Gabriel, Klara, Carsten und Elias auf einem schönen

After a hardy quest we are pleased to announce that a site has been
found for this year's gathering :)

Directions to Tyle Crwn Woodlands:

Get yourselves onto the A470 5 miles north of Brecon.

Travelling southbound to Brecon - you'll pass a sign for 'felinfach'
and shortly after you'll see a pink cottage on your left. Do not take
the left hand turning immediately after the cottage, but take the next
left signed 'Tredomen'. Follow lane until small crossroads, turn left
there and follow single lane track until you come to open fields with
track running across and a green post box on the gate. Go through the
gate and down through the next gate into the woodlands. Welcome
Home!!!!!!

This is a drug free, alcohol free, dog free gathering.

Bring love light and everything to keep you warm and comfortable.
Wellies and waterproofs essential - some access paths are pretty muddy
due to small cows!

Please bring dried food donations, tents, tools, tarps, balnkets,
spoon, mug, bowl, sleeping bag...and don't forget to put your magic in
the magic hat!!

The family here are super lovely and rainbow friendly, please show
them love and respect.

Please network this to anyone who wants to be part of the magic and
come celebrate beltane with the family.

The 2008 Rainbow Guide is about to go to print. All entries into the
2008 Rainbow Guide need to be sent in prior to May 1, 2008 to allow
time to process those entries so that the publication can be sent to
the printers. Copies will be availible in late June and early July -
Please visit the Welcome Home when attending the gatherings and ask if
any copies are availible.

The Rainbow Guide is a freely printed, non-commercial directory of
Rainbow friends, tribes, communities, individuals and peaceful co-ops
world over and serves to help keep us connected throughout the year.
The Guide is compiled and published annually by volunteers with your
contributions of profiles, heartsongs, photos, art and whatever you
would like to add to the energy.

Entries can be sent online by visiting http://rainbowguide.info/Entry/form.php

Funding the Rainbow Guide is a continuous, ongoing process. I am sure
we can all sympathize with putting together a project that costs
thousands of dollars for a group that never charges for anything.

Historically, the Guide has come up short on printing and shipping
costs and has left the Focalizers, that have already donated a
tremendous amount of time and effort, "holding the bag" or Guides left
sitting unshipped.

Please Family, make supporting the Rainbow Guide a prioity, as we
desire to create a publication and website of which we can be proud.

A focus for this meeting is a Beltane Gathering, we love any input and participation with scouting, seeding and

Rainbow in La Palma March 2008

Hola familia,
greetings from the beautiful vulcanic island La Palma which bridges the european and the african continent as well as it is the last stop for the ships heading out across the atlantic ocean for brasil and all of the americas by travelling with the setting sun and moon west!

Right now rainbowwarriors are scouting for a magical rainbow gathering in the vast green and wild mountain valleys in the north of the island far away from babylon for the march moon cycle. Seedcamp will start at the full moon on february 21st which will be the time of a total moon eclipse as well! The Rainbowgathering will start with the new moon on the 6th of march and the closing ceremony is gonna take place at the new moon on april 3rd.

The gathering shall be a place of healing, recreation and joy for all of the rainbow tribes of the world and especialy for all the families with children small and big who love to live and play in harmony with mother nature! There are already a few magical storytellers on the island who are capable of awakening the spirits of the inner child even amongst us "older" people with there magical legends inspired by the strong energy of this ancient volcanic creation place!

We are still looking for community spaces and especially asking for a big childrenŽs place like a yort or big tippie! Also bring all weather clothes, the cycles especially on the northern tip of the island are changing quickly while creating an abundance of greenery! In general La Palma people refer to their island as an island of abundance with magical always fruiting avocado trees and a big variety of fruits and vegetables all year long. Imagine a place where there is spring, summer and autumm happening at the same time in different places very close buy! At night it can get pretty cold all over the island so please bring warm sleeping bags and tents!

For all of you who are arriving before the time of the seedcamp, please travel to BURACAS at LAS TRICIAS on the northwesterncoast of La Palma. This is the site not only of last years rainbow gathering but also this magical burranco is full of caves and has been a dwelling place for ages. Before the spanish conquerers came and killed all the indigenous Benoahore people, the shepherd tribes of the area had a huge settlement in this place and you can find precious petroglyphes hiding inbetween the trees and cactusplants. then in the 70s of last century hundreds of hippies settled in the caves and some of them have bought parts of the lands and build beautiful cavehouses and live there till today...

Go To HALDWANI north east from Deli near Nanital. Around the corner from the central bus station take the bus to HARTOLA leafing once a day at 6.30 AM !!! (only one going per day!). The ride will take about 4 hours…. up on a small curvy dirt roads …

Tell the bus driver to show you the way to SITARAM BABAgee. From there you need to walk 15 minutes up a mountain path…you will find us…

You can also take the Cheep-Taxi leafing at about 12.PM. Also in the near of the central bus station. Cross the main road and look for a kind of a Parking place with some trees, next to a high building, with a small guarding-box at the entrance. It is not easy to find and WARNING: the cheep is always full-full and the drivers are most of the time drunk!!! Better to take the

bus!

What is there:

We will gather around the small Kokila Devi Temple. The Temple is on top of the mountain. The area is not very big but has a very beautiful view…There is space for camping, too

Where the Ochoco Gathering in Oregon will Be.
The 2007 Rainbow Gathering is in Ochoco National Forest at a place called Indian Prarie in central Oregon. (between Prineville and Mitchell)
From Prineville:
Take hwy 26 east towards Mitchell. Make a right turn onto hwy 23,(this road is not marked, but is the next two lane paved road after the reservoir, a few miles out of town, to the right) which later turns into hwy 22 and continues to Walton Lake. Soon after the lake, turn left onto FS 150, a dirt road. Go a little ways till 150 ends in a T. Go right onto FS 2630, and continue to the parking lot and Bus Village.
From Mitchell:
Take hwy 26 west towards Prineville. A little ways past the Bandit Springs rest area, go left onto FS 2630. This later becomes FS 2210, and 2630 becomes a less maintained road. Follow FS 2210 to hwy 22. Turn left onto hwy 22 and follow past Walton Lake. Soon after the lake, turn left onto FS 150, a dirt road. Go a little ways till 150 ends in a T. Go right onto FS 2630, and continue to the parking lot and Bus Village.

This is right near the Bridge Creek Wilderness area, and north of the Big Summit Prarie. I can see several springs on the map. Sortof behind the site is the Mt. Pisgah Lookout. It looks to be no more than 6000-6500 feet in altitude.

What is a Rainbow Gathering?

What follows is my take on it. No one put me in charge (thank goodness), so you may get other answers from other folks that add or subtract stuff - but basically I think most folks will be in agreement with what I see as being the basics for a gathering.
It is free and non-commercial. This means no entry fee and no money charged for any service at the event (food, medical, etc.). There are people at gatherings who hang out with the barter circle and essentially have a commercial trip going either with trade or cash, but this is their own personal trip and has nothing to do with the actual set-up of a gathering. I personally consider these folks in violation of the basic spirit of the gathering and wish they would go away, or at least put away their trade goods. But since we have no cops, no courts, and no jails, they continue to do as they please, over the objections of many but also with the support also of many. Anyway, with the exception of these folks who are taking advantage of the free space, you shouldn't find any commercialism at a gathering whatsoever.
Rainbow gatherings are non-aligned both spiritually and politically. There is no one right religious or spiritual belief; people of all faiths are welcome to come gather. Often, people from specific churches or temples come set up their own camp and feed lots of folks from their kitchens (the Krishnas and the Bread of Life Christian camp being the most notable). There are no hassles towards any church group proselytizing or trying to win converts - if people want to listen, that's their own business.
Rainbow also does not support any specific political cause, party, issue, or candidate. Many people come to gatherings to recruit for their own specific Peace Walk, Drums around the Pentagon, environmental action, or whatever; but again, that is their own trip. They certainly have the right of free speech to spread the word about whatever event they are sponsoring. But they do nothave the right to call it a Rainbow event or claim they have support of the Rainbow Family. If they do make such claims, they are ripping off the Family name. Folks involved in such actions have every right to also mention, if asked, that yes, they consider themselves to be Rainbows. No reason not to fly your colors, especially when you're doing something you consider a good cause and are proud of being involved in. You just can't say that your event (protesting logging the rainforest, for example) is a Rainbow protest as such.
We have no leaders. We operate by consensus process. No one is in charge, we have no board of directors. For many regional events, a small circle of people often initiates the event, and the circle grows and becomes many. All the labor of getting the gathering together in a safe and healthy manner is done by volunteers.
The only rule we have is that of peaceful respect. That actually encompasses a lot, when you stop and think about it. Sure, no one can tell anyone else what to do, but if someone builds an unsafe fire under a tree, they will hear about it (hopefully in a sweet way) from many people who are worried about the safety of the camp. We like to say that everyone is Shanti Sena (Peacekeeper). The idea is to communicate in such a way that folks doing something non-peaceful, non-respectful, unhealthy, or unsafe will see the error of their ways and choose to get with the program. When something really out of line occurs (a violent individual hitting someone with a club, for example) a Shanti Sena council (consisting in the ideal of all interested parties, as well as some experienced folks from the Shanti Sena Clan to give guidance and physical safety) forms to deal with the issue. If the victim of the violence wishes to press charges, the incident is dealt with accordinly, and the Shanti Sena folks cooperate in turning the perpetrator over to local law enforcement - a controversial move, to be sure, but in some cases unavoidable and sometimes even desirable. If no one wants to see the local authorities involved but a person is considered a danger to the safety of folks in camp, two options are commonly turned to: someone capable of handling the situation volunteers to accompany the offending person 24 hours a day around camp; or the person must leave the gathering and not come back that year.
As per a standing consensus by the Rainbow Family Tribal Council, we don't apply for or sign permits. With the new group use regulations instituted by the Forest Service this year, this has become a difficult position to hold.One regional gathering signed a permit and gathered under a different name than Rainbow. Weird, and lot of people were angry at the folks who signed the permit,but what are ya gonna do? Take away their hippie cards? Anyway, theoretically,if a gathering has a permit, it is by definition not a Rainbow Gathering.
Also, by long tradition, we do not gather anywhere but public land. Occassionallythere may be focussed councils (Thanksgiving Council, regional councils) that happen on private land, but gatherings themselves are always held on public land. Again, if it happens otherwise, it is by definition not a Rainbow Gathering, though the event may be very rainbow in nature otherwise.
We take responsibility for every aspect of the gathering, from set-up to clean-up. We don't ask for help bulldozing roads, getting donations from local charities or food banks. We are self-sufficient in every aspect of our gathering, and responsible for ourselves. Most important, when the gathering is over, many people stay behind to totally clean up the site. No janitors are paid to clean up after folks. Gatherers are expected to use the recycling center set up on site and to pack out what they packed in. The clean up crew takes out all trash to recycling centers and to landfills, then restores and rehabilitates the site. This may involve scarifying the earth to loosen up compacted areas, filling in ruts caused by vehicles, water-barring hilly areas, and reseeding the ground. All shitters and camps are disappeared and naturalized. This is a lot of work folks! If you've never stayed for cleanup, you've never really done a gathering. This is not a dead lot - this is real, this is a labor of love, and it's one of the only reasons, both karmically and politically, that the powers that be haven't put the ax to us long ago.
A Rainbow Gathering is not a rock concert or a platform for speakers. If cars are allowed in the gathering area proper, and if there is amplified music as a central theme, it most certainly is NOT a Rainbow Gathering (the drive-in gathering in Texas was an exception, as we were not allowed to close the road).
If it were up to me to define it, I would say this is the most important aspect of the Gathering: It is a free assembly of individuals who come together to practice peace. The focal point of the Annual Gathering July 1-7 is a coming together in a large circle, each person praying silently in their own way for peace. Most of the regional gatherings also set aside a day for the Silent Circle. A Rainbow Gathering is not a party, although partying certainly happens. It is not just a big hippie campout, although there are lots of counter-culture and new-age types camping in the woods. It is not just the world's largest love-in/be-in/ smoke-in, although a lot of that certainly goes on. For me, without the element of prayer we might as well not gather at all. For me, without the element of the Circle in which we participate, we mights as well have a hippie convention at the Hilton. For me, without the practice of Peaceful Respect and continuing attempts to create harmonyamong each other and all beings of the Earth, me might as well give up any pretense that the human race is evolving.
So, does that make things more clear? You'll probably get as many different answers as you will people answering. Good luck sorting it all out. The annual Rainbow Gathering of the Tribes will take place in the Northwest next July - Oregon or Washington. Stay tuned for directions, which will probably come out about amonth before the gathering!

Use the slit trenches or covered latrines - cover your paper & waste with ashes or lime, wash hands. Break the fly/illness connection: shit-fly-food-you! Dig no shitters near water areas or kitchens. Protect our Health! Use your own cup, bowl & spoon! Wash them after eating and rinse in bleach-water. Visit C.A.L.M./M.A.S.H. if you feel ill - especially if you have a contagious disease - or are injured. Camp Together - Establish neighborhoods. Community Fires only! ~ Each with 5 gallon water bucket and shovel for Fire Protection. If you are the last to leave a fire PUT IT OUT! Watch your gear: Be Responsible ~ "Tempt Not Lest Ye Be Lifted From." Pets are discouraged but if you must bring them keep them fed, on a leash and out of the kitchens, springs & fights. Clean up their poop. Love them. PACK IT IN - PACK IT OUT !!! Cleanup begins when you arrive. Bring in only what is necessary. There is no janitor here...you are the cleanup crew. Separate Garbage for recycling. Don't litter - Find collection point. Compost in pits only. You are the Gathering! Participate in Shanti Sena, the peace keepers council, and all activities, councils, work crews, workshops. The Brief History of Gaia

After about 44 years, dinosaurs inhabited the planet. Some eight months ago the first mammals evolved,
and during this last week the first hominids entered the scene.
Modern man has existed for only about four hours; some sixty minutes ago he took up agriculture,
and a minute ago the industrial revolution began.
During these very last sixty seconds man has managed to turn Gaia into a garbage dump,
to exterminate thousands of plant and animal species, to kill an uncountable number of his own kind,
to loot the planet's resources, to pollute soil, air and water and to leave radiating waste for future generations.
Within the next few seconds, all of us will decide whether we are going to make life on Gaia impossible,
or develop a consciousness that allows us a future existence with Gaia.
Lovelock and Margulis named their theory for the earth goddess "Gaia", because Earth and its
atmosphere have the ability to regulate and sustain the necessary conditions for life.
It would be wrong, however,
to interpret these findings to mean that if we continue to go on as we have so far,
that Gaia - Spaceship Earth - would live on though,
without its human passengers.

Das farbenprächtige Naturschauspiel des Regenbogens wird gern als Brücke zwischen Götter-
und Menschenwelt gedacht.

Auf der Himmelsbrücke Bifröst gelangen beispielsweise die nordischen Asen von Asgard auf die Erde Midgard.
Diese Brücke dachte man sich dreifarbig (Gylfaginning, 13) und das Rote im Regenbogen sei Feuer,
das die Riesen vom Besteigen des Himmels abhalte (ebd., 15)

Im Alten Testament ist der Regenbogen das Zeichen der Verbundenheit Gottes mit Noah und den Seinen,
die als einzige die Sintflut überlebt hatten (1. Mose 9,12).

Schon im deutlich älteren Gilgamesch-Epos aus Sumer ist die Geschichte von einer Sintflut erzählt.
Hier zürnt die Göttin Ishtar mit dem Gott, weil der ihr Volk ertränkt hat.
Den Regenbogen setzt sie als magische Barriere zwischen Gott und die Opfergaben der verbliebenen Menschen (WALKER, 266).

Am Fuß des Regenbogens sollen dem Volksglauben zufolge Goldstücke liegen.
Ein bei den Kelten verwendetes Zahlungsmittel aus gewölbten Goldplättchen wird danach „Regenbogenschüsselchen” genannt.

Bei den Griechen nutzte die Iris den Regenbogen als Reiseweg.
Als Botin der Hera stieg sie über ihn vom Himmel auf die Erde herab.

Ertrunkene finden über den Regenbogen in die Wolken. Wo der Bogen die Erde berührt,
darf man auf erfolgreiche Schatzsuche hoffen. Leuchtet der Regenbogen bei einer Geburt,

Als im Juni 1621 in Prag Beteiligte des böhmischen Aufruhrs hingerichtet werden sollten,
baten diese den Himmel um ein Zeichen der Gnade. Als man mit der Urteilsvollstreckung beginnen wollte,
ging ein Regenschauer nieder und kurz darauf sah man über dem Lorenzberg für
etwa eine Stunde einen kreuzweise übereinandergehenden Regenbogen. (GRIMM, Nr. 359)

Als Wetterzeiger deutet der Regenbogen, der meistens in östliche Richtung zeigt, auf ein abziehendes Regengebiet hin.

Im Christentum wird ein anderer Traditionsstrang wichtig.
In Ezechiel 1 sieht der Prophet einen gewaltigen Thronwagen. Oben auf dem Thron ist ein heller Schein

„wie der Anblick des Bogens, der sich an einem Regentag in den Wolken zeigt.
… So etwa sah die Herrlichkeit Gottes aus (1,28).“

Die Regenbogenschlange ist eine zentrale Figur der Mythologie der Aborigines,
den australischen Ureinwohnern. Sie gilt in manchen Regionen als Schöpferwesen.

Den Mythen zufolge bewohnt die Regenbogenschlange während der Trockenzeit die wenigen verbliebenen Wasserlöcher
und kontrolliert mithin die kostbarste Ressource überhaupt.
Als unberechenbarer Gegenspieler der stets verlässlichen Sonne bringt sie den erhofften Regen.
Sie steht deshalb als Symbol für das beginnende Leben.

In den vom Monsun geprägten Gegenden Australiens erzählen die Legenden von heroischen Kämpfen zwischen der Sonne,
der Schlange und dem Wind. In den zentralen Wüstengebieten sind die saisonalen Witterungsunterschiede hingegen schwächer ausgeprägt,
was sich auch in den dort verbreiteten Geschichten reflektiert.

Die Regenbogenschlange gilt als der wohlwollende Beschützer seines Volkes und als erbarmungsloser Verfolger der Gesetzesbrecher.
Die Mythen, die sich um sie ranken, dienen als moralischer Wegweiser im Alltagsleben und sind mit dem Fruchtbarkeitskult verbunden.
Die Geschichten sind vielfältig und variieren leicht unter den einzelnen Stämmen.
Am genauesten überliefert sind die der nordaustralischen Bewohner.

Ihre Zweigeschlechtlichkeit und die gelegentliche Darstellungen als sich in den Schwanz beißender Ouroboros weist auf eine archetypische,
metaphysische Bedeutung dieses mythischen Wesens hin,
in dem die Natur insgesamt in ihrem Urzustand, der Traumzeit, verkörpert ist.

Dear Rainbow family, at the European Rainbow Gathering in Bosnia, we called a talking circle to discuss a September gathering, proposed at the Beltane Gathering vision council in Cornwall this Spring. We had a tea party in the childrens's area where about twenty attended, mostly british and irish, although some of our continental brothers and sisters were also present. We were invited and reached consensus to have the gathering near the hill of Tara, some 30 km west of Dublin, with the seed camp beginning around the 7th of September and the climax of celebration to be the Autumn equinox around the 21st of September. Clean up will carry on til October. This consensus was communicated to the European family after food circle, so it is hoped that we will have a multi cultural gathering. There will be a focalising circle for this gathering on 28th August full moon, on Ham Hill near the village of Norton-sub-hamdon, (the nearest town is Yeovil), at the old quarry site which is marked on the National Trust maps on the hill. Look out for rainbow signs. There is parking and there should be no problem for camping. There will be someone at the quarry from midday and we agreed that we would empower ourselves to begin the talking circle when great spirit moves us, which will probably be that evening, but may be the next day. Please bring food, musical instruments, bowls, mugs and spoons. One love from the Bear of the North.

caravan will begin from moscow, then we will go in russian gathering 2008, it could be altay so we are going through all russia to far east, then mongoliya, or directly to china.
may be some of these cars will stay in world gathering
2008 in china, some will continue to go to nepal-india and back; after world rainbow in august 2008, caravan will go in mongoliya and russia (altay).

I have just returned from Russian Rainbow in Voronezh region. Very good gathering, with spirit of challenge and transformation.
Majority of Russian family is strongly attracted by the vision to call rainbow people from all around the world to gather on Altay mountains for the time of complete solar eclipse witch is going to take place in August 2008. However visiting this land of a grate power demands a high level of ones consciousness and responsibility.
In spite of many of us still have doubts according the possible inconvenience of the location, Vision Counsel that took please few wicks ago on the Russian gathering decided unanimously to call the next Russian regional Rainbow in Altai district in July-August 2008. In order to break formal and mental bounds, and make the international global integration possible for the Russian brothers and sisters, we all look forward to meet strong rainbow people from different countries coming to share the transcendental experience on the sacred mountains during the solar eclipse. We are happy to invite all, tribes, and nations, all the colors of Rainbow to come and join us in an existential spiritual adventure at the site of a grate power.

The scouting is already going with the help of our Siberian brothers and sisters. We hope to organize a good seed-camp in time and be ready to welcome any quantity of fellows from overseas. nach einer Woche des Scoutens in Thüringen haben wir viele wundervolle Plätze gesehen. Davon sind zwei in die engere Auswahl gekommen, die für das deutsche Spätsommergathering in Frage kommen könnten.

Es gibt noch einige Dinge, die vor Ort geklärt werden müssen. Da wir uns die Plätze bisher nur angesehen haben, stehen noch viele Fragen zur Klärung offen.
Deshalb rufen wir zu einem erneuten Scoutingmeeting und Scouten vor Ort (Thüringen/ Harz) auf.
Es ist wichtig, dass wir uns nicht auf diese zwei Plätze verlassen.
Daher bitten wir alle Brüder und Schwestern, sich in ihren eigenen Regionen umzusehen und kleine Scoutingteams zu bilden. So können wir die Plätze auf dem Treffen im Harz gemeinsam betrachten und vielleicht schon zu einer Entscheidung kommen.

Wenn Ihr an dem Entscheidungsprozess mitwirken möchtet, seid Ihr sehr willkommen. Auch diejenigen von Euch, die noch nie gescoutet haben, sind herzlich eingeladen, sich an diesem Prozess zu beteiligen, um die Vision des Regenbogens mitzugestalten.

Das Scoutmeeting soll vom 6. - 8. Juli im Harz stattfinden.

Brothers and Sisters, I love You!

We just arrived in Bosnia and there is one information, which has to be spread, because this could get expensive for many of us. At the border of Bosnia they wanted to see a Green-Card for the car. This is something, You get from your car insurance company. We did not have, so they wanted 160 Euro. We managed to get away with 25, but this Balagan can be avoided, yust if You know. Short info, You can pay with Euro, petrol is quite cheap, it is a lovely country and we are right on our way to the place which was sent as place of the Gathering. See You all back home in Bosnia,

THIS SHOULD BE SEND YESTERDAY, I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MAKE IT. AT THE MOMENT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS THE NEWEST INFORMATION (it's hard to suggest you what to do, maybe come close and wait..., YESTERDAY'S NEWS IS NEXT:

We are about 26 people on the Medvedja gora (Bears hill) in Gornja Sanica (close to Kljuc; BASE CAMP by now).
The concensus about the sight for the European Rainbow Gathering in Bosnia 2007 has NOT been reachead jet!!
There are 2 possibel sights:
one in the near of base camp, the another about 120 km away further in SATOR PLANINA (Sator mountain; close to Bosansko Grahovo).
Consensess will be reached soon..., possible we we'll move to the another one (Sator planina).
Either you better wait or you come to the Base camp. But the road to here is long and bad, but if you have a car, please come to prepare possible move!

The vibration here is very good and loving.
WE are looking forward to see and WELCOME YOU HOME!!

Das farbenprächtige Naturschauspiel des Regenbogens wird gern als Brücke zwischen Götter- und Menschenwelt gedacht.

Auf der Himmelsbrücke Bifröst gelangen beispielsweise die nordischen Asen von Asgard auf die Erde Midgard.
Diese Brücke dachte man sich dreifarbig (Gylfaginning, 13) und das Rote im Regenbogen sei Feuer, das die Riesen vom Besteigen des Himmels abhalte (ebd., 15)

Im Alten Testament ist der Regenbogen das Zeichen der Verbundenheit Gottes mit Noah und den Seinen, die als einzige die Sintflut überlebt hatten (1. Mose 9,12).

Schon im deutlich älteren Gilgamesch-Epos aus Sumer ist die Geschichte von einer Sintflut erzählt. Hier zürnt die Göttin Ishtar mit dem Gott, weil der ihr Volk ertränkt hat. Den Regenbogen setzt sie als magische Barriere zwischen Gott und die Opfergaben der verbliebenen Menschen (WALKER, 266).

Am Fuß des Regenbogens sollen dem Volksglauben zufolge Goldstücke liegen. Ein bei den Kelten verwendetes Zahlungsmittel aus gewölbten Goldplättchen wird danach „Regenbogenschüsselchen” genannt.

Bei den Griechen nutzte die Iris den Regenbogen als Reiseweg. Als Botin der Hera stieg sie über ihn vom Himmel auf die Erde herab.

Ertrunkene finden über den Regenbogen in die Wolken. Wo der Bogen die Erde berührt, darf man auf erfolgreiche Schatzsuche hoffen. Leuchtet der Regenbogen bei einer Geburt, wird der Neugeborene später ein schöner und fleißiger Mensch werden.

Als im Juni 1621 in Prag Beteiligte des böhmischen Aufruhrs hingerichtet werden sollten, baten diese den Himmel um ein Zeichen der Gnade. Als man mit der Urteilsvollstreckung beginnen wollte, ging ein Regenschauer nieder und kurz darauf sah man über dem Lorenzberg für etwa eine Stunde einen kreuzweise übereinandergehenden Regenbogen. (GRIMM, Nr. 359)

Als Wetterzeiger deutet der Regenbogen, der meistens in östliche Richtung zeigt, auf ein abziehendes Regengebiet hin.

Auf der ostfriesischen Insel Baltrum nennt man den Regenbogen wèrgall. (KUHN u. SCHWARTZ, C. 427)

arizona 4-20 Gathering

I believe this year was the 3rd annual 4-20 arizona regional, and it keep getting bigger and better. Still a lot of people haven't heard of it so I figured I'd put it out there.

In Arizona the week of 4-20 every year there is a wonderful regional gathering somewhere in Az

Beloved Rainbow Family, after the Spring Council on June 30th we agreed to move to Grmec mountain range near the village of Sanica with the intention to start the seed camp for the rainbow gathering in Bosnia. Having arrived and found the site to have less water and difficult access, we decided as a group to use the site as a base camp for further scouting. After six days and four further talking circles we have reached absolute consensus of the site, near a mountain called Sator at the source of the river Unac. The nearest towns are Drvar in the north and Boa Grahova in the south. This is in West Bosnia not far from the border with Croatia, some 200- 250km west of Sarajevo, South of Banja Luka in north west Bosnia and north of Split on the coast of Croatia.
From Drvar travel south to the village of Resanovci, from Boa Grahova travel north to the same village. There are daily bus services to Resanovci. From Drvar you come into the village past a petrol station and turn left at the end of what appears to be the village at a sign which you see on the right that says STR VAP. From the south, from Boa Grahova the turning will be to the right. and the STR VAP sign will be on the left. . Pass a school on the right, follow round to the left, turn right before a big white cross, pass bonbed out flats. At the crossroads on the edge of the village go straigt across through a wood yard. From here just keep driving straight across beautiful plains up, up and up, sometimes winding but always straight for 40km. At one point the road changes from tarmac to rough track. Keep going until you arrive at a fork in the road with a wooden sign and a pile of stones. On the sign is written very faintly the name Preodac Ribnjak. Take the left fork and continue to an abandonned village. Welcome home!!!! Follow rainbow ribbons and stone piles to gathering
