Moderator invites no one (hence the name). But members can nominate anyone for invitation that they want. New members have to follow the rules just like everybody else. Oh, and there WILL be Jeopardy questions.
A couple of other minor points. Please make new members feel WELCOME, because everyone IS welcome until they prove they can't behave. Also no poo flinging.
