Blah! Coca-Cola, Blah! Java java java java [sung doing the java happy dance]

As for the coffee-aholic stuff. Bah! Humbug. I am a massive caffeine addict. I am happy that way. I have no wish to change it or do anything about it. I would not go to a caffeine addict annonymous group, because that would indicate a desire to stop drinking caffeine. I have no interest in that.
Now, a group where there are shots of espresso lined up and contests to see who can drink the most without going into cardiac arrest.
      I'M THERE! :-)

      Hiya jenny!
2 cups in the morning or else someone gets their head bit off...

I like to measure my coffee intake by the pot instead of the cup. For one thing, it is easier. For another, it freaks people out, which gives me a laugh.
Oh, I do not function in the morning - period - at all - seriously - without coffee first. You want me to do something in the morning, you had better be handing me a cup of coffee first. It is kind of like a toll that must be paid first before any functioning is done. HAHAHAHA

Question for my fellow coffeeholics....how do you take your coffee? If mine is hot, I like it just plain black and strong, if I want it iced, I like it sweet and really creamy...half and half, not creamer...gotta be CREAMY with that yummy fattening cream. Ya'll?

Hot, I drink it with 2% milk. If I drink it black, it tends to make my tummy burn, so I cut it with the milk and then it doesn't.
Iced, gotta have some milk in it, sweet is best, but not necessary. I agree that iced is best with sugar and real cream, or half and half.

very interesting....I've never tried honey in my coffee....I have sprinkled cinnamon on top of the coffee before it brews, that's really yummy....oh and allspice...that's good too. I'll have to try the honey thing...

I will have to try this, too.

I do like cinnamon and all spice added to the grounds. I use cinnamon much more often.

Have you ever tried chicory to cut the bitterness? It can be good, too. Some people say it can be a substitute for coffee. I am not buying it. That is like saying Postem is just like coffee. No, no it is not.

Good, old fashioned New-Orleans coffee is made with chickory and it's yummy.

Yes, Mickey, that was my first experience with Chicory in coffee and it is scrumptuous!! Heaven on earth!

    Hi, Jenny, welcome.

I'm with Jenny on this one. I don't worry about being addicted to it, and I'm sure I could get over it, after a week of constant dull throbbing headache, but I drink alot.

On weekdays, minimum doses of coffee, two triple lattes in the morning, a double expresso in the afternoon, with at least a coke/pepsi with lunch and another sometime later.

On weekends at home, a pot or two of french roast ground very fine, with kahlua or grand marnier flavor shots in each mug. On weekends out, a triple latte to start with whatever I can grab where ever I can grab it, unless overruled by a pint of something.

(twitching in corner) well OF COURSE NOT!!! That would mean we were physically addicted....at this point, I'm not ready to admit that...even though I shake when I have my coffee and shake even worse without it...I think I need Valiums...or Epenephedrine....or however you spell that word.

I rather enjoy a good case of the shakes after two or three triple espressos!
It lets you know you are still alive! The surge is just so envigorating.

        > Good god, I'd be lying in the corner twitching....

Oh, no. It's lots more fun to be standing up twitching, or running around twitching, or dancing and twitching (especially when you go to a club where they play the kind of electronica where you can't tell the difference between dancing and twitching), or running a meeting and twitching (I'm currently of the holder of the record for consistently shortest meetings), or being out on a date and twitching, or explaining to the officer and twitching, or ...
