Rakhshanda Tribal Belly Dance is a modern Tribal belly dance troupe based in Southeastern Wisconsin. Our influences come from many areas, such as Gypsy Caravan, Amaya and her beautiful Gitano style, Bollywood, Bhangra, traditional Thai dancing, and anything the three of us can dream up. We are the epitome of fusion in Tribal belly dance in that we incorporate mostly improvisation as well as some choreography. We also perform with props such as sword and scimitar, poi, fans and veil. Currently Athena is the only dancer in Wisconsin to hold a Level 1 Teaching Certification with Gypsy Caravan. Razi and Athena both hold Level 1 certification in Amaya's Gitano style of dance.
