Raqs Caravan West is a Sahara Dance student company
specializing in American Tribal Style belly dance for stage. Students learn to improvise in structured groups for performances at student shows, community events and in other educational environments. Raqs Caravan West performs to a wide variety of music, including Arabic techno fusion, West African, Nubian and American Tribal Style. The repertoire includes traditional American Tribal Style, Nubian veil, tribal taqsim, tribal Saidi, West African fusion and finger cymbals.
