Yes, my summer's been rainy for this time of year. Typically, it's humid, sweltering heat...but there's been a lot of rain. It's been quite pleasant, as it's cooled things considerably. It does make it hard to know how to dress, but I can work with that. Plants are also happier...

July in the PNW finally brings sun and heat. May is also a great month, but it is a teaser for those jonesing for summer. June comes and it is cloudy and sometimes rainy weather again. It's a cool 90*F at the moment. Kids are playing in water. Ahhh.....I love summer!

First year in five here in the N/E corner of Washington State that the weather didn't switch from snow on the ground to 90'F overnight. Actually had a spring this year, but there were some very scary weather anomalies that came through. Tornado-circulation clouds, massive downpours of 2-3 inches of rain in fifteen minutes, microburst downdrafts that lifted roofs. Email pen pal people and friends across the country are all saying strange weather but that's to be expected according to the science folk.

Today was 90.8'F at it's hottest but I'm betting with a very high humidity rating. Cutting firewood in the morning to be home by 1pm, and then sitting under the apple tree with a book and sleeping dogs. It was the best place to be all afternoon. Things are drying out fast and we're all hoping the idiots with fireworks don't start something out here...

Short Heat wave last week in the triple digits, but down now to the comfortable eighties. Good working outside weather with a bit of shade.

A few hot days, but mostly cooler than the typical year. I've been wearing long sleeves many days in May/June without overheating...something usually IMPOSSIBLE in the San Fernando Valley during these months. It is downright cold here compared to a normal year. I like it. One day of drizzle, but no rain.... Though...that day of drizzle in June...well... weird. The average annual rainfall for June-Sept in this part of the world is zero. So anything coming down to the ground is bizarre. Even a half day of drizzle.

Coolest, wettest, cloudiest spring and early summer here in VA blueridge that we've had in years. More like the weather patterns of 25 years ago. I'm gardening as usual, but bet wrong and have a lot of heat loving plants. Looks like bad year for peppers and tomatoes etc here. I'll plant a lot of kale and oriental greens for late summer fall and hope it doesn't turn into a hot dry late summer and fall. Best to hedge one's horticultural bets.

Noon on July 3rd here and a cloud covered 66.6 degrees F according to weather underground. The temperature of the beast! End times i reckon. Being exceptionally scrawny, i still have my long johns on. Need to fatten my geriatric ass up or move south. Damn.

Rainy May, but warmish..June, spectacularily hot & humid with sun blazing down most of the month..July cooling a little & rain showers that are likely to flood areas.
In all very satisfactory, both for my garden & me!
We suffer long wet windy weather for all of winter & spring here on the cliffs of North Cornwall, so this weather is brilliant to just walk around with summer clothes on & shed the winter woollies...great!
      Hope it lasts!

97'F at 5pm yesterday, just flat out hot and seriously glaring in the sun. People are looking wilted and my dogs are sleeping 20 hours a day at this point. Was 85'F at 10pm last night and it's too hot to eat dinner.

Supposed to be hotter today and already 81.4'F in the shade at 11am so it probably will hit triple digits sometime this afternoon. Fire danger just went to high and the forest is just drying out like crazy. Great timing since the idiots are already lighting off firecrackers and bottle rockets in these mountains as I have been hearing the pops and bangs for the last two hours. Stupid humans and their pretend war sounds.

I'm spending the day under the apple tree. Have a watermelon and a cantalope in the fridge, root beer and kool aid and cold well water in a glass pitcher which may help in the oven-like wind that is blowing in from the Columbia Scablands out west of here...

Cool and wet spring here in Upstate NY. Wet summer so far also. Supposed to be mild and sunny next few days - hopefully great hiking weather.

I was wondering about the cooler weather and realized, hey we're finally having winter to spring to summer instead of winter to summer.

Seattle's summer has been absolutely amazing this year. It took a long time to get here, we had some cold and wet as late as April but June has been beautiful! Looks like it's going to be a sunny and hot 4th of July. My allergies have been going non stop for a week!

We have had a serious heatwave and lack of rain. I stay inside or in my studio. I just got my truck out of the shop, so now I will be hooking up the boat and going to a nice shady sandbar on the river.

Hot and Dry here in Fresno, Ca. We have had our water allowances cut way back to the farmers here in the valley, and we are at 12% unemployment... Many of the businesses that process the crops have nothing for their workers to do... Field workers, processors and the supporting businesses are all hurting and many are shutting down....

Crappy summer ahead I am afraid...

Rain? In a California summer? If only we could be so lucky. Well perhaps in the mountains! That's where I should be this weekend.
